Team Liquid is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the release of "Behind the Blue", a 247-page visual chronicle of TL's rise from StarCraft: Brood War clan to one of the most iconic organizations in international esports. The rich history of Team Liquid is commemorated through photography and artwork, paired with interviews and stories from key figures such as Victor "Nazgul" Goossens and Steve "LiQuiD112" Arhancet.
Behind the Blue should be especially resonant for TL.net users, with early chapters paying homage to the TL community's passion, and acknowledging foundational Liquid players such as Jinro and TaeJa. Of course, there's plenty to enjoy for fans who have followed Liquid to other games, whether it's League of Legends, Counter-Strike, or Dota.
Pre-ordering for Behind the Blue is open at the official Team Liquid store, with books scheduled to ship in March of 2026.
Will the book cover stuff like liquidpoker? I was always curious about the connection there and how it started, etc. Mostly just who was involved in both and what the connection was initially...
Anyway, sounds like an excellent project. I may grab a book. TY

It's not quite text-dense enough to go that in-depth. As you can see from the sample pics, it's very much in the "coffee table book" genre. Leans more toward a premium collectors' item than a super-comprehensive history.

I appreciate the response, I missed that yesterday. Thank you!

Awesome, gonna pop in and grab that pre-order - it'd be nice to have some of that history as a little coffee table book! When people see my TL tattoo sleeve they ask about it and I can only recite so much lol
