I'm curious why the hosts of Resistance 2 did it differently from the Wikipedia reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Resistance_(game), which recommends 3,4,4,5,5 for each consecutive day, respectively. hi. That was done to make the game a little easier since the spy team wrecked resistance 1, since everyone was so lost. Read the pre-game chatter in Tunnel rats, lots of confusion about the first game, what they we're meant to be doing ect.

I'll pick a team consisting of people who are actively involved in the game and look town. I'd like to think i'm pretty good at finding townies, and I only need to find two since I'll be including myself in the team.

Yes. I found it pretty trolly. Can I expect more of the same here?

I'm used to IRL voting where a choice is selected with a hidden tile and then revealed all at once, then votes are tallied and you know who voted for what and have that as information to analyze. Anyways, do you think there is ever a scenario where the leader SHOULDNT send themselves on a team? Yes, the scenario that springs to mind for me is when the entire town has someone labelled as scum and its their turn to lead, then its in their best interest to remove themselves from the team and send their top 3 townreads, as it'll just be downvoted if they include themselves. Chances are their team is getting downvoted anyway since people aren't going to trust their team, but if they send 3 people I have town reads on, I really don't care who suggests it.

But there is at least one spy on the team, that is concrete information. So you look at the leaders motivations for sending each person on the team.

If I had to send a team right this second - i'd be sending myself, hopeless and probably yourself. The way hopeless approached the 'leaders voting putting themselves on teams' showed more conviction and confidence than his entire filter in LXIII. While I might not agree with what he was saying, he explained himself well. You seem pretty invested in the game so far, not afraid to attack people and make waves. Your thoughts on what has been discussed up until now seem to mirror my own so that bodes well for you being town. VE, do you intend on doing something other than one-liners this game?

(Phase 1) 2) All peepz vote yay or nay, majority wins? (Phase 2) 3) if nay we go back to Phase 1 with new leader, if yay we go into nightphase. Am I correct? I believe that to be the case, yes. Majority wins. If not, we go back to phase 1.

Which in itself is probably a tell. Do something useful instead of professing your towniness repeatedly.

He says he wants to send people that are active, so he adds VE to his proposed team, who had a grand total of 5 lines to his filter at that point. He wants to take hopeless out of the team because he might lurk, yet VE is completely fine with 5 lines. He theorizes me and grack are scum, pushing a townie hopeless to take the fall for the mission failure, yet still removes hopeless from his team. I do not like that. I am going to stick to my proposed team of myself, hopeless and rayn. Ill submit it after I have a shower and throw down a fistful of painkillers for this hangover.

When I went to bed there were 3 yes votes and no one was contesting my team, so what was I to discuss? I'm not going to bark at the people that have voted yes, their votes are in, and they've already done their bit. For everyone else, I was waiting for them to bring their objections to the thread to discuss with them. If they had no objections, there was nothing to discuss and they'd vote yes. The level of resistance this team is facing is what I'd expect from an all town team. I'll almost certainly vote yes, but we've got 4 hours still, may as well use it to discuss.

Wouldn't it be the other way around, with spies coming in to start something and try and get a different team into play? There hasn't been no resistance. We have 4 people voting no or declaring they're going to vote no. Thats a team passing by the smallest of margins.
