For the second installment of Clarity Gaming's ASUS ROG NorthCon coverage, we had the opportunity to sit down and speak to Vesa "NrSWelmu" Hovinen. We hope you're enjoying an insight into these great European talents, and we have more content on the way!
Below are some excerpts from the interview which you can read in its entirety right here!
Q. Hello Welmu, thank you very much for taking the time to speak to us today! Could you introduce yourselves to those readers who may not be too familiar with you?
Hello, I’m 19-years old Protoss player from Finland studying in university while focusing still in Sc2 too.

Q. You spent some time teamless this year following the disbandment of Eclypsia Gaming before finding a new home at NewRoSoft, a Starcraft 2 team based in Romania. How have you been enjoying life on NewRoSoft? Have you spent any time in their team house? (If not, do you plan to?)
Everything has been pretty good so far, team has friendly atmosphere and our manager cares about players too. I got a chance to visit teamhouse while I was in DreamHack Bucharest, but other than that time I haven’t been there and not really planning to go practise over there. I prefer living here in Finland in my own home

Q. Unfortunately after qualifying for the recent DreamHack Open amongst an incredibly difficult bracket, you were unable to participate in the event itself due to an illness. How do you feel you would have done if you HAD been able to attend? How are you feeling now?
It is hard to say how I would have done, but I was planning to practise a lot for DreamHack and ASUS ROG aiming to get top8 in DH at least and I feel like I could have done that, if I was able to attend. Unfortunately illness kicked in and I haven’t really been able to play until just now so my play is a little bit scrappy at the moment. Same thing actually happened before WCS Season 2 finals where I had to play unpractised, but I wish I get to show off what I can get done with proper practise in a very big scale tournament.
