Hi guys. Flo here I figured it might be good to post on TL as well as my FB page.
For those of you wondering why you haven’t heard from me much, I wrote up something little.
I decided to take a break from college in Nov 2011. From then I had only a clear goal pursuing SC2: to be my best and be respected for doing so.
I didn’t realize until when I was about to go back to school, that I should be happy about how lucky I am to be somewhat of an influence to the people who have followed me. I should be happy about how far I’ve come, the friends I’ve made, and all the places I’ve had the chance to travel to. Many gamers work hard to experience this lifestyle, so I am extremely appreciative to the opportunities I’ve been given.
My first term of college is ending next week and I realize it felt wrong to “leave” without saying anything. Perhaps it’s because I don’t want it to feel like I’m leaving this behind. This feeling makes me question whether I want to stop playing SC2 entirely or atleast be part time. The answer is unclear.
Consider this a long break. Throughout this month, I’ve always had the urge to just come back.
Who knows? Maybe I will. But for now, I’ll be in school.
And I’ll keep in touch.

Flo is too cool for school!

congrats for deciding to take up school.i think it is the best for you and your future to continue studies and work up a good future.sc2 is a very financially unsatisfactory career with little long term possibilitites.once again i think you made the best decision.besides playing sc2 part time is much more fun that having the stress to perform in tournaments.

There's probably a lot you don't know about women.
or you know... people in general.

Hey, I'm a guy and I'm pretty high on Compassion, too. In fact, I feel very, very sorry for you right now. Ok that last part was a joke
@perfidiusrex - I think he was actually being serious, in a sort of earnest kind of way Maybe his last comment about "Compassion" was his own version of saying, "more GG more skill"? (I may have a tendency to look at the bright side / give the benefit of the doubt)
But anyways, back on topic, don't feel bad, Flo! You can still be an influential part of the scene even if you're not taking the "pro-gamer", full-time training route. If I still get to see you around, streaming occasionally and speaking up on different forums or Twitter topics, I'll be happy

School is a wise choice. I really have no idea how much women are really making when it comes to promoting this game.

That is kind of sad. I think I recall her going to the Quantic House and I know I saw her around at many tournaments, meh.
