the thing about ramen is: the more stuff you put into it, the better it is. cook the ramen normally, always shin ramyun, nothing else. put all the sauce and stuff. add your own vegetables, whether it be onions, challots, anything really. any kind of meat, sliced pork, beef, tuna... and the egg, adding a slice of american cheese adds to the flavour also.

There is absolutely no better way to ruin the taste of a perfectly fine Ramen than to micro them. As might as well put in some dog shit coz it aint gonna get worse. The trick to using the microwave to cook ramyun is very simple. Boil the water with the microwave. After the water gets hot, THEN add it to your noodle. This way, you do not have to eat that soggy piece of shit noodles. Oh btw, there is no such thing as the ULTIMATE ramyun. Its all about your preferences. To tell you the truth, the unforgettable ramyun I ever had has more to do with the background than the taste itself. Who will forget the shin ra myun they had in the middle of the fcking winter in a military camp. That my friend... is a priceless ramyun. Edit: I can garuantee you that every single korean has at least one ramyun story to tell and its beautiful.

edit. Dont buy that trash in american supermarkets. Trust me it is nothing compared to the real stuff. Go to an asian supermarket or something like that its worth it.

so... I have noticed something... Something very odd... So odd, I failed to notice it before... It angers me gravely... It makes me sick... Is it possible? How can you eat Ramen without KimChi? And how many Koreans failed to mention KimChi talking about the perfect Ramen? We have failed... Edit: Ramen without KimChi is like a Hamburger without cheese...

Around one or two minutes after added the noodles, "air" the noodles by picking them up and lifting them out of the water. No need to put there somewher else or anything, just lift the noodles and plop them back in. Repeat a few times so you get all the noodles. This way, the noodles get fluffier and chewier. This is what they do at ramen shops in Korea. Try adding a few drops of sesame oil. I like to do that. Oh, and in my opinion, ramen without egg is not ramen at all. [edit] Yes, eating ramen without kimchi should be against the law.
