There has been a change in the lineup and schedule for the upcoming GSTL Season 2, starting on May 28th.
Team oGs has recently announced the team's dissolution and will therefore unfortunately not be able to participate in GSTL Season 2.
We are very sad to see such a successful team that has been an integral part of the StarCraft II scene since the beginning leave the scene and would like to wish the players, coach, coaching staff and contributors the best for the future.
There will be no change to the format, but all scheduled matches for team oGs will be counted as forfeit, resulting in a walkover for the opponent team. The schedule of the GSTL will be adjusted accordingly.
As a consequence of oGs dropping out of the GSTL Season 2 line up, the number of matches in Round 1 Group B will be reduced from 5 to 3. oGs opponents will be given walkovers, as has been done in similar situations in GSL group play.
In other news, SlayerS and Evil Geniuses are partnering up and will participate in GSTL Season 2 as a joint team. EG players have been succesfully competing in the GSL in the past, but until now we have been unable to see them perform in the team league. We are therefore eagerly anticipating EG and SlayerS performance in the upcoming GSTL.
Furthermore, LG-IM will be partnering with SK Gaming, so look forward to seeing SK.MC back in the team league again!
GSTL Season 2 is looking to become the most competitive and international team league yet, with the likes of Teamliquid, Fnatic and EG eager to prove themselves in the most difficult team league in the world.
Be sure to tune in when we kick off on May 28th!

This sounds about as right as putting all of TBLS on SKT1. But I'm okay with it. It just means that I will be guaranteed some Liquibet points
