Hello everyone! I'm a foreigner Zerg player who started playing on the Korea/Taiwan server last December.

I've really been motivated by these threads http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=307176 and http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=292871 and Mind Gym, the book that IdrA read and had a huge part in him winning IEM after that and having really high tourney finishes after that. Here in TL I see so many threads where there are 1v1 practice groups, clans, teams, and partners that have so many people who are willing to practice and looking to improve their game. But most, if not all, of these practice groups are based in NA and EU. I was wondering: are there also practice groups in KR?

I know there are foreigners in KR and not just the pros, from what I've seen from the threads I've read about getting a KR/TW account. There is a channel "teamliquid" but most of the players there are high diamond and masters, and since i'm only mid-gold there, I don't know if it's right to ask them since it might not be worthwhile practice for them since i'm just gold.

I'm really looking to improving my game. I go to school, I usually get 4+ hours of practice on weekdays and I can play the whole day on weekends if I'm not busy with schoolwork or family or friends. I've been laddering the whole time during my practice sessions but I don't think this is the best way to practice. It'd be great if like to have whole sessions dedicated to a single MU and during that sessions many GSL/MLG maps would be used, we'll work on different parts of the game like multitasking, micro, decision making, the skillsets, like in real sports. eSports, StarCraft <3 thanks everyone! hwaiting~

tl;dr gold player looking for practice group/partners/teams/clans in Korea/Taiwan server looking to improve and dedicated practice willing to help out others also improve their game.
It's all about the journey, not the outcome.

at your level the best thing you can do is try to find a "family" there but even still unless you can speak korean it will be tough to get practice otherwise you can just talk to the people youre matching in ladder alot of koreans like foreigners and could help you out

I'm a Gold Terran that lives in Korea, you can message me but I've had luck asking people who've beaten me. You might not be able to speak Korean, but you can just use English and sometimes they can understand

what do you mean by family? i'll assume that means practice group like I asked. okay, i'll ask the koreans I meet on ladder if i can have extended practice sessions with them. it'd be so great if we foreigners could get more practice opportunities with good Koreans. i'll definitely try that out!

Hi Chaggi are you a foreigner who lives in Korean? If you're why don't you say you are, it's something to be proud of :p. I don't speak Korean but I can read hangeul a bit, and yeah I'll ask the Koreans I meet on ladder if I can have extended practice with them! that'd be great! thanks for the suggestion.
