Why did you make your own topic . You clearly had just been in the Computer Resource Build Thread... I know some people like to, I just think it's unnecessary.

Wait for new sale tonight.

That hard drive is brutal.

SSD imo a waste to get assuming you can get the HDD at that price. For the 113$ I'd rather upgrade to a 560 Ti or something similiar. IMO getting SSD is only correct for a 1000$+ budget.

Don't get a 64GB SSD. Go for the 128GB. I know it might feel like you can make that work, but it really is a very small amount of space. I bought and 64GB and it just isn't big enough. Bought a 128GB Crucial M4 last night actually.

I *totally* disagree. An SSD makes such a gigantic difference that I can't imagine recommending anyone making a new computer get anything else. Its just so worth it x_x

Those are bad because OP is from Canada and Newegg.com doesn't ship to Canada?
$510 combo is bad because there are less expensive and higher quality units than the Coolermaster.
$710 bundle is bad because it's a 2700k paired with a D2H. A D2H is highly unlikely capable of 5GHz+ and if you aren't going for 5GHz+ than why pay a $40 premium over the 2600k? You're also paying at least a $25 premium on memory for a one or maybe two FPS gain when this could be put toawards a better graphics card...
Not to mention the HDD is overpriced in both combos.
And both of those bundles aren't deals either since equivalent or better components can be had for the same total. The bundle discount is only helping with the poor selection and overpriced components to make it seem not as bad.
|
Newegg bundle deals are retarded. They had a potentially promising looking Shell Shocker this morning with like a $60 discount, until you realize that they're pricing the 500GB spinspoint 7200RPM HDD originally at $115... doesn't look so hot then.

do you all suggest skyR's build?
Thanks btw
|
DVD burner is out of stock and hard drive price rose (didn't check the price matches, which may be worse now because you waited). skyR almost always finds the best deals and puts together parts that make sense for the intended usage and price point. Aside from changes in the past few days, yeah, that's what you want.
|
id say go with skyR's build, he knows what hes doing. Also, try to just get an ssd for storage if you use less than 120gbs (like me =D), cus HDDs are expensive as hell right now after the flood

The Crucial M4 is an SSD. Functionally, you use it like any other storage drive, except that it's a lot faster.
(Hint: install the operating system and commonly-used programs on that, such that they can load a lot faster, and create temp files / write stuff / do background things a lot faster as well)
If you would rather just use the hard drive for everything, you can leave out the SSD.
|
Yeah I rather use the HDD for everything and use that 120$ for other parts
|
There's not much you can spend the $120 on when you aren't overclocking and not playing at 1080p.
|
you can buy a 1080p monitor for $120 or change the graphics card to GTX 560 Ti as it's still going to improve your experience in 1680x1050 and going to help for the future as well.
Or you can just save the money, a valid choice as well.
