How to delay your stream using xsplit

I hate people stream sniping, so I did a little research.

I found this on regame.tv but I think it would work with Justin too

1. Make a new XSplit.NET channel

2. Configure your desired delay, select "rebroadcast" and select your Justin.tv account

3. Stream to your new created. XSplit.nett channel and it should work

Update: So apparently, this is a little buggy. I am able to delay the stream with aprox 20 sec, but not more than that. If I set more the stream doesn't start. Hopefully they will fix this in final release. (I don't know if it is still beta or not o_O.)

and i think 20 secs should be enough to delay the snipe-possibilities.

btw: you could've edited your post as well, no need for a 2nd one

Out of curiosity, will these A/V stream settings apply *before your JTV channel settings? i.e. the stream will be filtered through these settings first, then broadcast to JTV using that channel settings?

Does it lose quality along the way? Ty

Assumably yes, hence the "rebroadcast" in bullet 2. Edit: The "amiga" stream is most likely his Justin.tv account, the other could be Own3d or a different Justin.tv account.

Yeah, this is really buggy.

The first time I set this up I set a stream delay of 120 seconds. It worked fine the first time. Every other time after that, it never started.

So there isn't a real way to delay the stream for 5 minutes ?.
I have to broadcast a latinamerican teams finals and I need this delay... I'll keep testing and let you guys know.

People with Partnered JTV accounts can delay streams by as much as half an hour IIRC so if that's an option for you I would use that over Xsplit.

After some further testing, the only way I can get it to work is if I remove the multistream and then re-create it. It works fine every first time, never again after that unless you delete and recreate.
