In the first OSL Ro16 match of his young career, Killer defeated a top-tier Terran player,

Q: Thoughts on your first OSL Ro16 win?
A: All I remember is that I was very nervous. I don't think the game worked out exactly as I had planned, but I got lucky a couple times.
Q: Your guardian usage was exceptional.
A: Right, I did plan to use guardians at some point this game. I figured out that Terrans preferred to do late mechanic in this map, so using guardians just one timing later than usual works out as a decent counter.
Q: Did today's build bring you good results during practice also?
A: My win rate during practice was so good that I wasn't lacking confidence or anything. Baby really came out with good strategy and played a solid game as well.
Q: Who helped you prepare the build?
A:

Q: What do you think about your group?
A: It's a tough one, to say the least. That's why the first game today was so important. Now that I've got a win under my belt, I can approach the remaining games more calmly.
Q: Seems like you prepared well for OSL.
A: There was a plenty of time to prepare, so I practiced against almost everything a Terran can do in a game. I'm satisfied that the practice paid off.
Q: This season's goal?
A: I've adjusted that now, and the goal is to reach the semifinals. I will prepare for the remaining two games as hard as I did for today's game.
Q: Did

A: He gave me various advices about my game performance. His computer is right next to mine so I'm always getting a lot of help from Jaedong.
Q: Any last words?
A: Thanks to

When his group finalized with three other Zergs, Jaedong smiled inside. He knew that this was just the right opportunity to break out of his recent mini-slump in SPL. Facing off against last season's semi-finalist

Q: First thoughts on winning?
A: I've been through numerous Ro16's and I always felt that the first game was the most important in Ro16. I'm satisfied with the win today. Moreover, my ZvZ wasn't exactly stellar this year so I wanted to play more Zergs and recover my game. An all-Zerg group - It couldn't have worked out better for me. I will reach Ro8 by sweeping my group.
Q: Did your confidence falter, even a little bit?
A: I can't say that my confidence dropped significantly; rather, I felt something different. Before I was very aggressive in ZvZ's but the recent losses may have made me somewhat hesitant. After the games, I would have regrets about my decisions in the game. That's why I wanted to play more ZvZs and recover my old self.
Q: Your eyes were even sharper than usual. [T/N: DEATH GLARE]
A: When the schedule's packed with different games I'm pretty relaxed, but right now I'm coming off a bit of a break so I was quite tense. My hands were shaky and my nerves were tingling everywhere. I focused extra hard to overcome that, and maybe that explains [the glare].
Q: Are you satisfied with your game today?
A: The map itself is pretty standard, and there aren't too many elements of surprise or comeback. Air distance is short so I can attack early. I felt comfortable in this map during practice. I knew it would boil down to a battle of skill [T/N: as opposed to BO wins or all-ins] so I really didn't want to lose this one.
Q: This season's goal?
A: I don't quite remember the last time I raised a trophy. So I want to win really badly right now. Still, I won't let myself become obsessed with the final goal. Rather, I want to enjoy every game.
Q: Killer mentioned you in his interview. How does it feel to prepare for OSL together?
A: Watching Killer making it to the OSL Ro16 and playing the game today made me think "he has grown up well," and I'm very happy too. I think his development and success in SPL is carrying over to his individual leagues. For Killer, right now is a crucial time for his career. When there are opportunities open and you're on your game, you have ride on full steam and rise to the top. I am starting to consider him as my greatest challenge before the title this season. That's how well he is doing.
Q: Any last words?
A: I'm in the last group in terms of scheduling so I'm sorry for the fans that have to wait so long. I will make it worth your wait by winning my games.

Does the team's failure to reach the post-season help out the individual players? It may be hard to generalize that as a rule, but it certainly helped Sea. When his team fell short of the post-season, Sea channeled his fury into OSL practice. Since last Monday, Sea grabbed onto Ruby and Hwan, and went into focused practice mode. As a result, he defeated Hiya today.
Q: First thoughts on winning?
A: The first game is always the pivotal one. I don't think I have a good record versus Hiya, but I caught up a bit today I guess. I'll ride on the momentum and play well in my remaining games.
Q: It was a lengthy match.
A: Strangely, most of my practice games did not reach "late-game". I was nervous throughout the game and didn't play very well. I think I was ahead majority of the game but made many mistakes.
Q: How was it during practice then?
A: I lost a couple during practice but still had a pretty good winning ratio. I suppose this is why practice games and televised matches don't necessarily correlate.
Q: You had a plenty of time to practice.
A: Yes, I practiced since last Monday. Next week is another Friday match, and it'll be against Zerg, so I will again practice hardcore from Monday on.
Q: During OSL dual-tournament stage you said that you didn't like your TvZ.
A: Well I was preparing for all match-ups back then and maybe I skimped out on TvZ. For next week I can solely focus on TvZ so I will be able to show you the best of my abilities.
Q: Goal for this season?
A: I'm re-discovering the important of practice nowadays. I'm putting in a lot of time and effort. I will state confidently in my winner's interview that I practiced harder than everyone else. [T/N: he didn't answer the question directly, but I think he's trying to imply that he wants to win the title and declare that he deserved it through practice and hard work.]
Q: Last words?
A: The weather wasn't very nice today but lots of fans still came out to see us play, so I want to say thanks to everyone that came. Also thanks to

Lately, Shine hasn't been performing at the level he once reached. Until 4th round in SPL 2010-2011 he led the WeMade Fox Zerg line alongside

Q: Thoughts on defeating

A: I'm happy to win one during this slump, but I should be preparing for the next one.
Q: Your nickname, "Typhoon", was very appropriate for today's game.
A: I was preparing for the survivor tournaments (MSL) yesterday so I didn't practice enough for today's OSL game. I basically prepared over night, and hero[join] helped me pick my build. Personally I'm satisfied overall with the game, I'm not sure how fans would think about it.
Q: You are strongest at Lair tech. Was that today's concept?
A: The concept was to finish the game in one swoop of mass hydra. That fits perfectly with my style.
Q: Can you pick out a reason for your slump?
A: I'd say the biggest factor was arrogance. I couldn't control my own feelings and the downward spiral ensued. This OSL will be my chance to go back to the basics and reset my mindset to where it all began [T/N: like a rookie].
Q: It's vacation time for your team, so getting in-house practice was probably difficult.
A: A lot of guys volunteered to help me so practice wasn't hard to find. Fellow Protoss players really dedicated a lot of time to me so that I pretty much couldn't lose.
Q: Any last words?
A: Thanks to
