‘I wish my teammates could show their true strength during broadcasted matches.’

- This is your 2nd consecutive win in the GSTL. How do you feel?
Two wins are good, but once again we started off shaky and had a close comeback to win the series. I hope next time we can be ahead the entire time. I am also sorry to my teammates because I am the only one getting all the spotlight. In the future, I hope they can approach these broadcasted matches without nerves.

- Did you have a lot of pressure?
I always get sent out last so I have a lot of pressure on me, and I am always a bit shocked at the good results. I am always afraid that I will lose before the match, but it seems to work out.

- You won against Nada.
I had moments where I thought I would lose, but I was able to win through my counterattacks.

- Your counterattacks seem like they are a regular part of your play.
As zerg you always have to get the terran to slow their advance by harassment and increase your drone count during that. Also, because your opponent then has to always leave some forces for defense, you then have an advantage if you get into an upfront battle.

- You avenged your loss against Hero last time.
During the preliminaries when I lost, it was such a bad game. I think I fell into a slump because I wasn’t able to do anything. I told myself I would get revenge someday, but I didn’t know it would come this fast. I have found my own style against protoss, but it is not perfect so I didn’t want to face him yet.

- ZvP, was it doable?
I think I won because my opponent made a huge error.

- Your last opponent was Cezanne.
I thought Huk would be the one coming out, but Cezanne came out instead. I knew I was ahead in my early game build so I inched myself to victory.

- Once again, you are showing great form in the teamleague.
Since I am not in the individual league, I hope I can at least get the title in the teamleague. My teammates are all making fun of me by saying I am similar to Sea who is also only dominant in the teamleague. Since I am a progamer, I am still ambitious to do well in the individual league as well.

- When do you think you will be in the regular season GSL?
I will try my best to get there as soon as possible.

- If you can get an invite to MLG?
My hope is to get the invite and win the MLG to go straight into code S. I think the preliminaries are harder so that is probably the easier path to get to code S.

- How far have you improved your vs.P and vs.Z?
If I graded my matchups, I would say out of 10, my vs.T is an 8, my vs.P is a 6.5, and my vs.Z is about a 6.

- Are there any zergs you would give a perfect score to?
I think Nestea is closest with either a 9 or a 9.5. Since I am still lacking, I need to catch up to him.

- Your next opponent will be F.United?
I don’t want to look down on them because they are a foreign team, but I hope that my teammates can get some more kills before it gets to me. I think we can win without me if my teammates don’t get too greedy during the games.

- F.United has a lot of foreign champions. Aren’t you worried?
Foreign teams are just foreign teams. I think there is still a gap.

- How about Moon and Lyn?
I haven’t seen them very much on the ladder recently. But I don’t think they will be that hard. I think they are beatable.

- Any last comments?
I hope my teammates can regain some of their sense. Every time we come to the stadium, they start making mistakes that they usually do not during practice. I thought that Monster would get at least 3 kills today. I thought he could do it after he squeezed out 1 win. But even though I told him to watch out for a 2 rax opening from Nada, he fell prey to it. In practice, he is the best at stopping 2 rax play but he couldn’t do it today. I hope my team can play much better next time so I can have less pressure coming into the match.

‘I think my skill level is ready for GSL Code S.’

- This was your first match, and also an all-kill.
I thought I could win a few games in my first entry, but I did not expect an all-kill. Seal lost in a disappointing match, but I am glad I was given the chance to do an all-kill.

- A lot of players that we have interviewed mentioned you. Do you usually help people practice?
If they are not on the same group in the GSTL as us, I am usually up to help them practice.

- A lot of players also mention that you are a great player.
I am great on the ladder, but since I am still not in the GSL, I will need more practice to get there.

- Do you have any matches today that were memorable?
I was worried about a rush in the first match, but I was able to defend cleanly and win from that position. It must have been because I was relaxed afterwards, but the rest of the games played out exactly as I wanted it to.

- You didn’t get the combat shield upgrade.
I was a bit nervous so I wasn’t aware. I didn’t notice even at the end of the game. Afterwards my teammates told me, it was a mistake.

- How did you feel when your coach told you to go out first?
After I heard that I thought to myself that these kinds of chances only come once, so I practiced hard to make the most of it.

- Your teammates think you are a terran that will surprise the world.
I think I will have to break through the preliminaries first. I think I can get that kind of rating after I get to code S.

- During open season 2, you lost to Zenio.
That was after I had played for around one and a half month. But I had beaten Zenio on the ladder previous to that which made me overconfident and unprepared for the match.

- What do you think is your reason for falling short of getting through the preliminaries?
I think it may be due to nerves, but it could also be because I keep giving up the 1st set, only to play safely in the 2nd and lose. Since I have played some broadcasted matches today, I should be more relaxed next time, so I hope to show great form in the next preliminaries.

- Your team’s atmosphere looks great. You guys have been getting one all-kill then another. What do you predict for your end season result?
I believe we can definitely advance in 1st place in the group. Seal and Sculp are very capable players as well, so it is definitely possible.

- Does your ID mean “smaller pair”?
During SCBW amateur days, I lived at a teamhouse. At that time, I had a friend who had the same name as me, and he was taller than me. So since then his nickname as been larger of the twin/pair and I was the smaller of the twin/pair.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank SlayerS Ryung, PRIME’s Marineking, and Polt (Optimus) for helping me practice. I think everyone on my team is capable of an all-kill so I hope we can try our best to advance 1st in our group.

‘I regretted my decision after I pressed ‘E’.’

- You got another 2 wins. How do you feel?
I am happy. I didn’t predict that I would get another 2 kills. I think I play cleanly during practice and end up playing a messy game during broadcast. Even when I lost, I think I was in a good position, and then messed it up with silly mistakes. I think I need to clean up my play even better.

- You showed off some cloaked ghost play against cOre.
That was a build that ChRh used when he was on our team. I joined the team after he left, but YoungHwa suggested that build to me. So I made that build a bit more precise and used it today. I ended up using that against protoss because I didn’t feel like doing a cloaked banshee opening.

- Was your decision to use nukes a planned decision or something you thought up on the spot?
I practiced that as well. That was suggested to me by Seed. If you use nukes, they cannot block it unless they got high templars. So during the time their units back off, you can go in there with marines and marauders to destroy their buildings and run away afterwards.

- You did an early mule celebration today as well.
I pressed E without even thinking about it. (laugh) After the mule came down, I felt like, why did I do that?

- It felt like you let go of an almost victory against Puzzle.
Ever since SCBW, I have not had the best micro. It was disappointing to lose because of miscontrol.

- If you were to give some examples of that?
After hitting with EMPs, you have to split your army and engage, but I can’t seem to pull that off very well.

- Have you learned anything from losing in code A?
It worked somewhat. I lost even though I had confidence in my skills. So I have learned to be less arrogant and have gained the fire to practice even harder.

- Your personal goal?
I want to become a player that is in code S, and also someone who is helpful to the team.

- Any last comments?
I want to thank Ready for helping me practice. I also want to thank my coach and sister in law for taking care of me.
