WCG USA has officially announced the StarCraft 2 Summer 2011 event in NYC at the Samsung Experience, June 18 - 19. Read more about the event and register now at http://us.wcg.com/sc2
Official WCG USA Announcement:
Join us for the event at the Samsung Experience in New York City June 18 - 19 for a weekend of StarCraft 2, featuring $2,000 in cash prizes! Admission requires a fully refundable $10 reservation deposit (this will be completely refunded upon the start of the event) from each player to secure your spot. There will be two events - a main event (double elimination) and a side tournament (group play), each taking a maximum of 32 fully registered players (with their reservation deposit paid) on a first come, first serve basis. Note that eight spots will be reserved in the main tournament for invited players. With $2,000 in cash on the line, and limited space in both events, be sure to sign up quickly.
With a 16 panel 184" display for live matches, lounges, and the latest Samsung technology on display, spectators are welcome at no fee. Whether you're competing or spectating, join us for an exciting weekend of matches and some of your favorite StarCraft 2 players in the most epic weekend of StarCraft 2 action the heart of NYC!
If you can't make the event, you don't have to miss out on the action. We will be streaming live from the Samsung Experience on both days, on the event homepage!
Event Prizing:
StarCraft 2 - Main Event 1st – $1,000 2nd – $500 3rd – $250
StarCraft 2 - Side Tournament 1st - $125 2nd - $75 3rd - $50
