*This post is by Legionnaire*

I would like to apologize the mass rambling that goes on here, but i highly recommend that EVERYONE reads this one! It may very well make your teamliquidian day!

The rules of how gamers are ranked have been changing fairly frequently. Less then a year ago it was really hard to become semi pro, and fairly easy to take the next step to become a full progamer. Then it changed to where it was both easy to become semi pro and easy to become progamer. (minor note, during this period i missed out on becoming full progamer twice by a single game, while brian also missed out on becoming semi pro by a single game)

From there the rules have changed again, it become very easy to become semi pro, but for full progamer status you had to actually reach the Starleague! Now the latest rules that have reached us, it is fairly easy to become semi pro, and those semi pros who will be participating in the next OGN pro league will be bumped up to progamer status along with some others.

This in my opinion isn't quite as good, as it is creating a large influx of fairly average gamers (i checked the list some people are ranked below the likes of sven and ntt!, which i might add is a fairly hard feat to accomplish)

Getting back on track, with the notice of the easy way to gain entry into the rosters of the progamers, there was one last quick fix for those gosu korean progamer wannabes!

That was a tournament we have talked about before (rekrul and assem both played last time) called "Courage". Which puts a lot of amateurs together and the 4 winners get both jun pro and a chance to make it into the next OGN challenge league.

Now for amateurs, the new rules provided a golden opportunity to not only gain their semi pro licence, but to then gain the easy access to become a full pro within a week! All that must be required is to get top 4 in one event full of other like minded amateurs.

Now the following list includes some of those amateurs from the previous few courage tournaments along with all other semi pros who have been lined up waiting. But nevertheless i bring you the latest wave of fully licenced progamers.

1. canata skt1 -- Entry From Courage (defeating the monstrous rekrul 2-1 T_T)

41. Peter Hexatron (5th highest ranked after gyuntae, ggon, july and siva (in no order))

only missed 2 and 9 anyone know who they are? only know of 3 who advanced from this latest courage out of the 4. And why was i listed LAST!!!! T_T

So as you can see the mighty Assem has come through and done his part for the foreign progaming scene (i'll try and get him to do a little write up but dont hold your breath T_T, dan/rekrul should be doing one soon for his PG reporting so stay tuned for that)

So congrats to him, and me, and all the other new progamers out there.

Sorry again for the mass amount of rambling that went on here.

Well i listed 3 of the 4 who advanced fromt he courage and i said i dont know the fourth. So NO i did not play in the courage (as logic should show) I gained my semi pro licence a year ago when i played In 512 person amateur trouney held by MBC, i got top 8 along with ggon, terato, yooi and a few others.

Edit: oh yeah post by me... if that is what confused you, although i stated canata beat rek T_T

So.. what exactly are the benefits of getting a semipro-license and a full progammer license?

Congratulations to you and Assem by the way!

waxangel asked me the exact same thing, i gave 2 really good reasons, though ican't really remember exactly what i said.

One is you can play in more tournaments, such as the 2nd round of the OGN pro league, only jun pros or progamers can play, no amateurs are allowed.

Can't remember the other one, but also the teams can fit all progamers in the tournaments, and with more pros, they will now have more room for other amateurs and jun pros to take spots in it.

As I understand it it's easier to play in tournaments/leagues and get sponsorships. Also I think certain tournaments/leagues are only available to players with the semi-pro or pro status. Not sure though.
