Oh god, this article is appearing on news sources all over. Our country is finally turning into the likes of movies like AI + Show Spoiler + and just about any other robot movie you can think of.
This is actually pretty interesting to me. The porn industry sort of reminds me of the gaming industry, in that it pushes technology further along than it would be without them. The only reason we have bomb ass computers easily available to the public is because there is a huge demand for them through gaming.

I think if they make robots more human-like there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. This is the world we live in. People like simulations. Nothing wrong with a simulated gf. It's about as creepy as playing those J-hentai games. (I don't play any of those, I'm just saying they been out a long time and you haven't seen the end of civilization occur.)
Sometimes, people are lonely or can't get a gf or for whatever reason don't have a relationship. There's nothing wrong with using technology to help them fill the void in their lives.
Humans have always used tools to make up for their shortcomings. We don't have sharp teeth so we made daggers out of stones. We don't have a perfect memory, so we invented paper and writing.
The robo-gf is just a tool for people who can't get a gf for whatever reason.
