"Today God helped me realise my dream," Mr Dore said, after the wedding in the region of Galguduud.
The bride's family said she was "happy with her new husband".
Mr Dore said he and his bride - who is young enough to be his great-great-grand-daughter - were from the same village in Somalia and that he had waited for her to grow up to propose.
"I didn't force her, but used my experience to convince her of my love; and then we agreed to marry," the groom said.

On one side, I'd bet this would be my greatest wish at an age of 112 as well.
On the other, I'd be mad pissed if I was 22 and some hot 17-year old got married away to some old fucker, basically screwing my chances.

In a way, it's better for her to marry him than a 50 year old. At least this guy is way too old to beat or rape her.

maybe she's getting a piece of his inheritance when he dies.... and that won't be too long. Sometimes people do desperate things to survive...maybe her family is in financial difficulty? Dunno just posing some ideas that make her choice more valid.

What piece? He has five wives and 18 children!, this guy is either a pimp or that girl is one of the dumbest girls I have ever seen. It reminds me of that movie Big Daddy, where that girl cheats on adam sandler with that old guy and he says something about old saggy balls. That is just sick.
