Glad you're doing both right and wrong predictions. Should colour code them though. Red for wrong, green for right.

I'm sure Artosis has correctly predicted Mvp and Nestea to win a bunch of stuff that they ended up winning. He's a pretty big fan of both.

I think he also had Genius pegged in 2012 S1 from the Ro32 to win most rounds onwards. I remember him talking about it on SotG around that time.

If I were a player at a major tournament, first I would tell Artosis to shut the hell up about my performance and after that I would pay him to talk about how well others will do ;D

another point to raise, is Artosis rooting for someone enough to call it a prediction? I think not. I might have cheered for MMA to win EU, but I wouldn't have predicted it.

I agree. Rooting for someone is completely different than predicting them to win. You can root for an underdog, but still predict them to lose.

I agree. Since you put forth such amazing efforts, you should definitely take the time to color code it, too!

So to fill out the WCS knockout predictions, he had Innovation over Soulkey (first he said, there's going to be 1 zerg in the top 4 after Symbol lost, then Khaldor asked him if that meant he was picking Soulkey and Artosis basically said, oh, nevermind that, Innovation wins - then he self-cursed himself saying, I guess that does mean we'll have 1 Zerg in the top 4 huh?).

Then he said Rian - Supernova was a hard call, but he was going with Rain (about 5 minutes in if you check the G1 vod).

Honestly, in the knockout stages for WCS2 the only iffy prediction he got wrong was First - Bomber, he basically went with the favorites (I don't even have to look at the LR threads to know that Maru was not favored against Symbol, Innovation or Rain by TL...) the rest of the time and we saw a bunch of upsets.

Artosis is definitely guilty of a hyping up players who show an awesome game (First) and assuming they'll always play like that though.

I suppose the flip side of that is he tends to waaaay underestimate players who haven't shown such good games (like Maru vs SoS).

But there's such a fine line between over hyping someone who's improving (did he turn the corner?) and discounting someone because he hasn't proven himself yet.

Ok, I'll do the color coding. Nice idea.

I think I'll separate out the predictions and the cheering as well.

GSL November 2011

Artosis claims that anyone but jjakji will win the whole thing. jjakji wins the whole thing.
GSL Season 4 2012

Artosis predicts that Mvp will win the finals 4-1 or 4-2. Mvp loses to Startale_Life 3-4.

Thanks, I'll add this to the list. If you can find evidence that'd also be good.

For jjakji:

lol~ Tasteless says "It's gonna be jjakji, I'm calling it now.

Artosis says "never ever gonna happen"

I'm convinced. The curse is real!

I love Artosis so hard. Not only is he so invested in the game but he actually has diving power. It's so nice to see this guy in the community.

jjakji and Maru have both been blessed by Tasteless apparently. The Tasteless blessing is way more rare than the Artosis curse, but it's there.

lmao

now all you gotta do is qualify for a tournament he casts and it's a sure thing.

Artosis: The new guy on the block is probably nervous being on stage for the first time and won't know what to do against this proxy hatch in his natural. This could be a fast one Tasteless.

Tasteless: Yeah, I agree man.

Arty: He's cancelling his gas. Oh god, he's falling apart. Cancelling things by accident.

Arty: Now he build a second rax. I don't know about this tasteless. I would prefer a tank. No way he can hold his natural.

Arty: OMG the marines are taking out the hatch. He sniped the tumour!

Arty and tasteless: GG, a stunning upset after easily holding the cc block.

Artosis's predictions always come before the game; the actual casting is precise and excellent, especially when he can joke around with Tasteless.

why is that insulting, no one in his right mind thought that fantasy was "giving his all" in that game, he was already out and his teammate would be out too if he would ve won, its a pretty clear case.

It's the word "throw" itself. Throw designates, especially in the sc community, a conscious effort to lose the games. It brings up a lot of issues that have been faced in the past and is always very harshly looked upon. Especially the BW scandal, and the ESF weekly Coca-Byun thing.

Honestly it shouldn't even be noted.
