Members: Soyul – Leader Eunjung - Rapper/Supporting Singer Minah – Maknae/Lead Singer Nicole – Visuals/Supporting dancer Lizzy – Visuals/Lead dancer Debut Track: “From every angle” – A fairly fast-paced and catchy tune with an MV taking place in a cybernetic environment with many differently shaped floating mirrors everywhere. The group is trying to get the attention of the guy they’re crushing on but only manages to catch glimpses of him via the mirrors in the confusing labyrinth of the futuristic environment. MV ends with Soyul finally seeing him in person face to face and runs out towards him, only to bump into a glass screen a meter or so in front of him. He smiles, turns around and walks away. Debut Album: “Geometry” – Contains eight tracks touching a few different styles of Kpop, but all staying true to the concept of geometry in some way with their track titles and their respective plots. Story: A few months after the T-ara scandal, Eunjung finally decided she’d had enough. Her conscience had been nagging her for so long and decided it was for the best. She went on to try her fortune in dramas alone, but it wasn’t entirely the lifestyle she truly wanted. By a matter of chance, one day when she was sitting all alone in a coffee shop, thinking of what she would do with her life, a familiar face in the shape of Soyul came in, and Eunjung waved her over. Deciding that she might as well let someone know how she really felt, Eunjung decided to hold nothing back. Being a member of Crayon Pop, currently the most popular group in Korea and beloved by all, Soyul wanted to help Eunjung and knew she had the resources to back it up. She gave a call to Jung Nicole, who was currently doing mostly solo stuff in Japan after the girls of KARA disbanded to make a public statement about the corruption of DSP. Soyul asked her to come back home, as she had a plan. Since Crayon Pop was doing so well, and it’d be almost three months until their next big release, she thought it’d be a reasonable idea to go for a little experiment. When Nicole came home, Soyul told her and Eunjung that the three of them should just go for their own debut right there. If it didn’t work out, everything would go back to normal for all three of them, but it ought to be worth the risk right? The others agreed. As they were walking over to take a cab back to Chrome Ent, they saw a girl being tossed out of a limousine. She was clad all in black leather, a very revealing outfit in general. The trio ran over to her, and noticed that this was no stranger at all. It was Lizzy, and with tears rolling down her cheeks she told them that she’d been just thrown out of After School due to behaving too sexist, and was being a bad influence to underage fans. Soyul shook her head and helped her back on her feet. “Our triangle just became a square then.” She said. And so, they did some rehearsals in the nearest karaoke place they could find, singing classic Kpop tunes from many different groups. After three or so songs, a girl suddenly ran in from backstage, screaming “This looks soooo fun! Can I join??”. They turned their heads around, only to find themselves staring into the eyes of Minah. Soyul bit her lip and said “I’m creating this group with the purpose of helping the others return to glory. You’re still as adorable as ever.” One aegyo-moment later, the square had now become a pentagon. And so, the next big thing had been formed. The debut was a smash hit, and Chrome Ent suddenly had 2/2 amazingly successful girl group debuts in less than a year. Soyul had her schedule very busy after that, as she was forced to work 35 hours a day to be able to attend all activities on the daily schedules of both Crayon Pop and Pentagon simultaneously, but since she’s so awesome, she managed. …which leaves us where we are right now. Debut EP: Dance track of some description, maybe mixing in some Bangkok City with Love Alone and Lips.
