How does it feel making it to the world finals?
That's my first goal, to make it to the world finals. It was really tiring today, but I am very happy to have gotten the results that I have.
You defeated Seed in the third round of the winners' bracket.
I lost to Seed to many times previously, and so I was really worried before the games, but I faced the games with an attitude of having revenge. I felt before the games that there was the possibility that I might lose, but overall, there was quite an element of luck in the games.
How were the games against the two foreigners?
To be honest, because I didn't have much information about them, I took them a bit lightly. But their skill was a lot stronger than what I had expected, and the wins were relatively hard. I thought the China players played quite badly, but when I saw their games from the back, ,I realised they've improved quite a bit too.
Do you want to be the champion of the Asia region?
There isn't much pressure on me now. My confidence has increased because I managed to defeat Seed.
Do you have any thoughts of going up against Rain again?
The blow to me was really great after losing 0-3 to him in the GSL round of 8. I hope to have the chance to play against him in this WCS Asia Finals. I understood a lot after watching the games that I lost.
Who are the players in the World Finals that you are wary of?
Zerg is really strong recently, and so I need to be wary of Scarlett and Stephano. Those two players are really strong. I need to be careful of the foreigner Zergs.
How does it feel playing for the first time in China?
This is my first time in China. It's much cleaner and better than I expected. I've taken part in many foreign tournaments previously, and Blizzard's support of the players is really great this time.
But in terms of the operations of the tournaments it doesn't really feel too good. The waiting time for the players is too long, and there were also problems with the electricity which ended up with the computers not being able to be switched on, and that led to not being able to practise properly. I woke up at 5.30 and reached the competition area at 7.30, but the tournament didn't start until quite late, and I felt really worked up.
Editor's note: The players for WCS are staying at a 5-star hotel, but it's about an hour's journey to the tournament area. The tournament was scheduled to start at 9, but because of some problems it was delayed to 10.40.
Any last things to add?
I want to thank our sponsors, TLAF, Razer, TwitchTV. This time I'm the only player from the team over here, and so there weren't any other members of the staff over here. But the staff from the other teams really helped me out a lot, and I am really grateful. I also want to thank my fans who have been supporting me.
