Nice job there by both players.. July took out Bomber's tanks and Bomber sniping the banelings with his tanks.

Third base on the way for Bomber

Wow, Moon beats bomber and naniwa for a finals spot. Not bad for a 'mediocre' korean.

Here I am, he went for extremely cheesy strategies in all 3 games and Bomber played right into his hands. Wow are you serious. 1. Bomber goes 2 port banshee all-in first game and gets lucky. 2. Moon beats Bomber in a straight-up macro game in game 2. 3. Bomber plays like shit in game 3 and gets straight up raped by Moon. 1 + 2 + 3 = Moon went for extremely cheesy strategies .......????? Don't be mad you lost money. Bomber was the cheesy one this series and Moon took advantage. I don't even like Moon (nor do I dislike him) but you're post is so full of shit; it's like you didn't even watch the game. 1. Baneling bust instead of teching to muta which is the correct response to 2 port banshee 2. Baneling bust, which got him a 30 drone lead, that he decided to drag out into a 37 minute game 3. Pure roach against Terran ... Need I say more? Had Bomber not suicided ALL his units into the fog of war + creep he would've won 100%. 1. According to Who ? Moon's reaction worked well until he underestimated mass banshees. 2. So you aren't allowed to respond to 3 CC Builds with some aggression (while having 3 bases and 40+ drones) 3. Moon responded to what he thought would be blue flame hellions. Moon then brilliantly intercepted the tank marine force and denied Bomber the time to siege up and inch foward. Even if bomber had been more careful, counter drops in bombers base (4-8 roaches) probably would have won it too 1. According to any competent Zerg that has played against 2 base banshee on ladder a couple of times 2. He had exactly 31 drones when he started blindly massing lings. He didn't know that Bomber switched his Factory around 2 times and had no siege when the attack comes and he didn't know that Bomber had 3 CCs, get your facts straight if you're gonna discuss strategy. 3. BRILLiANTLY INTERCEPTED THE TANK FORCE More like Bomber not clearing the watchtowers and then blindly walking all of his stuff onto creep. You should've seen Bomber's positioning before he moved out, he had 3 tanks on the high ground, that drop would've been denied hardcore. 2 Base Roach dies comically to 2 base Tank Marine
Mid level diamond doesnt = competent zerg... baneling busting a 2 port rofl...

gg that was pretty intense

July ggs, after a drop by Bomber

Wtf with Bomber's micro. I think his loss vs Moon destroyed his mindset and confidence.

July starts a Lair and moving out with just a few Roaches. 9:00July just begins a Spire, still on two bases though, a Baneling Next with Burrow tech too. Bomber supply blocked for a good half minute or so. 11:00July starts a third at the bottom right base. July starts production of 8 Mutalisks, Bomber doing a little drop at July's third and Bomber sieges up in the middle but July just sneaks in a ton of Lings inside July's base. 12:30Bomber just leaves the Lings in his base and goes for a base trade. 13:00July burrowing Banelings around inside his base and building a ton of Spine Crawlers around his base. 14:30Bomber stabilises in his base and two of the burrowed banelings take out a few Marines. July's Zerglings and Mutalisks clean up Bomber's entire army. 15:14Bomber asks for a pause. 16:30Bomber's in a good defensive position, completely walled off with a few Barracks and Supply Depots. July starts his natural expansion again. The supplies are 52 for July against 61 of Bomber. 17:00Bomber just moves back from Baneling landmines. He nearly scans it but they kill a good number of units anyway. 19:00Bomber now moving with a huge army towards July's base. Both players engage but July's Banelings all get killed. The Tanks get killed off though so Bomber has to retreat. 20:30 Bomber trying to attack with reinforcements, lots of the Banelings die but TWO kill the majority of the Marines. Bomber drops in the main, kills the Banelings nest and July gg's.

i didn't see anything special. he's like julyzerg but terran. very aggressive and solid play, but so risky and cocky - cheese/hidden expo etc. consistantly disappointing even from his first group match, definitely not deserving of winning the tournament.
mana and happy could have beaten him in the group stages with a bit of luck. You have got to be kidding me. Is that why all the korean players in GSL are so scared of him? Give me a break. obviously he's a good player. but his demonstration of skill at dreamhack summer has been lacking. i can't recall a single series in this tournament that bomber won through simply outclassing his opponent. look at his first game versus happy on xel'naga caverns. happy's skill was easily on the level of bomber, but unfortunately happy failed to spot the hidden expo which cost him the game (and similar in game2 plus the cheese). in the final game against MC, he won because MC was trying too hard to get the experimental archon composition right from the start. hence the mass zealots and almost skipping colossus, such a fragile build in PvT because you need sentry to survive but that makes your zealots weak as hell. bomber just went standard and practically won with an a-move. players like MC, MMA, nestea and MVP look so good. you can tell it's them because of insanely good decision making, control and taking 'unusual' strategies and making them insanely good. bomber's decision making looks sloppy. i was expecting a lot more... imo MMA looks a much better player. Bomber is #1 ELO worldwide - http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/players/detailed_elo.php?section=sc2-korean& ELO is not good in SC2, most of his games are from tournaments that most of the top players didn't even compete in Do you know how ELO works? You don't get much points winning against bad players. you don't lose points either You actually lose more points for losing versus bad players rather than good ones.
