We are a dedicated group of gamers that are determined to bring the best broadcast of the most nonstop action in any given tournament. We mainly do starcraft 2 casting but soon we hope to expand to other games we love. We are on at least 4 days a week and every tournament we cover we add production value to the show. We make it entertaining to watch your favorite games!
most fun watching the stream no lag fun casters best stream i've seen so far going to be watching tournies on IMBAtv and mcduffs is the shit for singing the banelings song to us as a request ... its nice to be heard
But really yes im quite satisfied with Imbatv, Mcduffs did the entire baneling song with a slight enthusiasm, which is more then i can say for most! If you want a fun, interactive and entertaining stream be sure to look it up. \o/ also i hear they stream tournaments
Haha we aren't forcing anyone, we just request that they post on our thread if they feel compelled to do so. Give the stream a try and maybe we can make you our sock puppets.... err I mean our loyal viewers :D
Im not sure why you guys think that we are FORCING people. Its the internet how can you MAKE anyone do something. We simply suggested it in chat and if people there did not know or use team liquid they are signed up now. So we are not just having people do things to post on our stuff. But its enabling more users to view your team liquid site. But we are working hard to create a really bad ass stream geared for the viewers so dont assume we are trying to get everyone to make fake accts. They simply just never used this forum site before. Thanks for reading and I hope you guys like / checkout our stream! Thanks everyone for posting on here!!!
during breaks in the SC2 tournaments (which happen at every elimination event) imbaTV will be livestreaming one of the top PokerStars.com from 2006 to 2010. he was in the top 75 of PokerStars.com money makers in each of the past 5 years. over that time only a handful of people have made more money on PokerStars.com than this mystery man.
we can't say who it is yet... but we will reveal his identity and his new poker intermission show in the next few weeks.
This stream was SOOO laggy with only 50 people watching...They said it was me, but i was able to watch livestream perfectly fine with no lag...Does this stream require more bandwidth or something? But the quality is good..unlike livestream...But at least on livestream i can see stuff

The stream is a High Bandwitdth stream... We are working on getting our coecasters to do Lowbandwidth but since we just started IMBAtv last month its taking a little bit of time. Thanks for checking it our and we will announce when we have our lowbitrate functioning properly
Just so you guys are all aware this is the IMBAtv stream not the Xiph stream... I wish we could get it changed... If a mod sees this please change it
But on another note we have moved our main domain to http://imbalanced.tv so now we dont have sub domain madness... So if you have us bookmarked then please make the correction to our new location! Thanks!
seriously, you guys are doing a good job, anyone who sees this should give them a try, just join the irc, you'll feel welcomed as shit, get on skype with us, have a good time and play/watch some good ass starcraft. These guys got some good ideas on the way, but i dont wanna say too much cus its all mainly the workings of us irc fellows, but truely, they listen and try to actually put in motion most of the ideas u offer up to them, and we watch viewer request videos/music on the down times. Keep the good times rollin' IMBAtv
You guys should really get a overlay with the players names and scores for games that are bo3 and more. And what's up with the campaign voices after each game? I still don't know what to think about them because it's certainly unique, I haven't seen it on any other streams but they sound pretty nerdy to me (not that that's a bad thing in any way, but it's not a thing that I'm used to.) Hope this feedback helps you guys in some way
Hey guys just want to address the overlay thing. We are currently working on getting an overlay system in place. We will try to have it up and rdy for you all by wed - friday next week. Thanks for being imba
I have some criticism for your casting of the second game between BeastyQT and avilo. You guys were clearly biased towards the BMing Beasty and craptalked avilo meanwhile avilo actually tried to play the game and win. This was really unprofessional by you casters in my opinion and quite frankly really boring to watch.
So please, in the future you should not bash on a player in who is not BMing and just trying to play and win the game. You were showing pictures of avilo irl and making fun of him, please have some respect for the players god damnit...
a successful conclusion of tonights stream of the ClanBase nations cup Denmark Vs. Portugal - Denmark took the win with 3points and Portugal got left abit behind with 2 points
What's this? What's this? There's streamers everywhere. What's this? They're always on the air. What's this? I can't believe my eyes, They must be streaming, Go to IMBA.tv if you care. What's this?
What's this? What's this? Who is there to blame? What's this? There's people casting games.
Very low quality stream (not graphic resolution) compared to any other featured streamer. The casters of imba.tv continuously only talk about exact events on screen (for exmple: okay here hes building a barracks right now.. making a few marines. no one is scouting right now///there he goes and moves 3 scvs onto his gas.) and refer to players as "Protoss, Terran, or Zerg" or as "the green player" ect., essentially depersonalizing the players. The spectator controlling the screen misses several critically important events that make. The frequent racist comments and lack of moderation of the chat that is broadcast live on top of the screen is also pretty lame.
Please try to learn builds and how to forecast player's meta game play and action prioritization, because most viewers have eyes and don't need to be read the exact number of the tabs all the time.

(torai edited quote for numbering questions)
im sad you feel this way.
1. what we try to do is deliver a playbyplay instead of theorycrafting too much but i agree the playbyplay and theorycrafting can go hand in hand.
2. and 95% of the time players are referred to by name but the other 5% is simply because people have impossibly complex names.. like "ogjzenfvsue" thats not gonna be easy to pronounce. plus i believe you might have caught our stream during this weekend where we did 5 events over 3 days and nearly streamed 24/7
3. I believe the racial comments in the chat you are referring to was during this weekend where we had ALOT of trolls in our chat and i as the main moderator of our channel had to leave for a while because i was at a lan event and had to go home. usually im right ontop of trolls and spammers and get rid of them asap.
4. and again we know the building orders but we do not like to theory craft too much, and about the numbers we do have people on low internet connections who are using our low quality stream and cant always read the numbers - so its kinda a public service
And we do try our best to improve our content but i must admit this hectic weekend have been the best weekend so far where we have hit the highest number of viewers ever (i believe its the highest number atleast gotta ask mcDuffs to be sure)
Quickly becoming one of my favorite streams, the lack of downtime in between games is unbelievable and even when there is things like "trailer park" and the funny back and forth banter fill it quite nicely.

i usually only "theorycraft" 1 layer of abstraction above the concrete action. so if you listen carefully i flesh out the implications of how players building/warping in their refineries/assimilators/extractors...just as an example .. but our theory world never strays far from the concrete on screen action... and as long as viewer counts continue to climb it'll stay that way.
our only real sponsor wants us to target the mobile market.. so we have to appeal to the LQ mobile viewer. we give people unit counts and periodic background economic information because they can't read the tabs on the LQ/mobile stream... as long as the LQ viewer count remains a substantial portion of our viewership we must continue doing this
if we are "x" minutes into a game with a player neglecting to scout it is important for a viewer to know. the fact a player has not scouted (or has not scouted a certain area) is not immediately obvious to a viewer because they can not hit the "v" key... so "knowing what player 1 knows"... and also "knowing what player 1 knows what player 2 knows" is all part of the mind games.
On March 09 2011 05:52 LarJarsE wrote: and refer to players as "Protoss, Terran, or Zerg" or as "the green player" ect., essentially depersonalizing the players.
false. listen to any 5 minute sample of my commentary and you'll see i rarely do this. furthermore, our instantly updateable stats board provides more background information on each player than you'll see on any other stream that casts early rounds of 500+ player open online events. including player nationality... preferred race... ladder ranking ... rating points ...etc etc etc. our 30 second intro VODs add another layer of personal touch during the pre-game portion of the show.
it was a judgement call on our part to minimize the down time between games. there are many other streams with much greater down times between games (at online open 500+ player one day events). If viewers prefer to listen to long and in depth stories ( day9 and husky are particularly entertaining ) they should not watch our stream.
we just broadcast starcraft games
i wish i could tell you we are in the midst of changing our stream a lot to respond to your concerns.. but we probably won't
On March 10 2011 03:42 LarJarsE wrote: hey thinks for reading and responding to my feedback; its highly apprecited. its merely criticism, and I still support you for supporting SC
sorry it was a little harsh. it is what is is. <3
We do appreciate criticism since we always strive to become a better stream, but i think in this case you just mentioned some things that we feel we have pretty much figured out - or as i said you might have caught us on a sleepdeprived day this weekend which is seems like from the combination criticism points you had
Great stream guys. I love the constant SC action. I love SC I try to watch all the tournaments (GSL, TSL, IEM etc etc) and sometimes there are breaks between those tournaments but with IMBA TV(CraftCup) there is nonstop action.
I'd agree with some of other viewers that I'd like less play by play and more analysis of why stuff is happening. I think this is mainly because I watch a lot of GSL and am used to Artosis who is probably the best caster in the world.
Great job casting though guys. McDuff, Jim Raynor, Firesilver and all the other casters too.
If you tune in tonight at http://imbalanced.tv you have a chance of winning a brand new PC game - all you need to do is register on our site and be logged in during the show, then you might be the lucky one who gets an email containing a question
This question can easily be answered if you are watching the show tonight!
Not only do they deliver a superb HD quality stream, they mix in alot of comedy and funny caster rivalry jokes that makes them THE best english streamers
The most biggest feature of imbatv is that they have NO DOWNTIME between games !
A team of 3-5 people is always making sure the viewers get not stop action, I mean where can you find that sort of dedication nowadays, most streamers put a " brb in 1 hour sign ", but not imbatv
I highly recommend this stream if you want to get better at your game and have a laugh or two on the way
I like all the overlays with nickname, race, country flag and position on the ladder and that sort of stuff. It gives the stream a nice and unique touch. n_n
Some feedback: I think your stream setup/production and everything is really good, with all the overlays and the nice looking stuff. However, everytime I tune in I have to turn off sooner or later because the quality of the actual commentary destroys a lot of the games you show. Would love to see your casters improve their knowledge and commentating skills so the stream is enjoyable for people who know the game well, because your setup in general is very nice and unique.
I have no comment on this stream other than there are ALOT of improvements to be made, as well as things that could be done differently.
It is a decent stream, production is sound, a TON of overlays during downtime. Casting? Depends. I have my views there. Non-Stop Action? Well...every stream has to wait now and then.

great insightful informative post here!
the stream has gone down hill since i quit
at some of the events they cover they end up showing 3 times as many games as other streams. this makes it too exhausting... the host Mcduffs still complains to me there are not enough games... even when we cover 20 games and other streams cover 7 or 8 games.
i'm glad i quit because this "non stop action" stream was just too much work on the day of the event.
This was def the best imba.tv day and I've watched almost every cast. Zomax with the annalytical commentary is really nice, and Jim/Mc didn't argue that much!
Great stream... Awesome job casting and the non-stop action is amazing. It gives me something to watch during the day time and weekdays. Thanks alot imbatv
Awsome stream. many many games, McDuff is always animated tending to make games more exciting and Fire is always good for those stratgey comments. Keep it coming IMBA.TV
On May 02 2011 06:34 Squide wrote: TB2.. that dude just shouts alot and no good analasys :>
mcDuffs: i shout alot because i love starcraft 2 and love the game. I am working on learning more about analysis of the game and all that. But mainly we want to give the information so you can decide on what the players are doing. I will always keep working at my casting and will keep trying to bring you guys a fantastic show.
Have been watching your streams since the beginning and i must say it is nice to see that the experience watching the stream has even improved over the time. The quality of the Stream is great and the cast crew very nice. Bringing the "special" endrey in was a good decision because it combines good with the vived commentary of mcduff. I enjoy watching you guys, because your streaming so often and i m a big fan of CraftCup. So keep on the work and hopefully i ll be streamed more often in the next few weeks if i manage to get my geek on :D TMClNiX
Btw i realy like the funny heads and the smokything :D only thing missing is endrey playing the backpipe while breaks. It would be so hilarious ^^
I'm getting non stop action withdrawal symptoms, need more imba.tv stat!
Not to dump on other streams but lets just say there's the EU RQTV Open #1 on now and I'm finding it difficult to stay awake during any of the English streams.

I would love more than anything to Stream right now. The issue is that I cannot due to the fact that I am trying to finish up a project. This leave of absence is a very important one and I appriciate the support! So thanks guys I will be back for the Go4sc2 and on friday.
you should hook up a dual stream with Fuzer, his mental sickness and you crazy outfit would fit and make a more awesome stream, plus fuzers celine dion music
Good stream, no lag. McDuffs can be sort of over enthusiastic at time, but I guess thats not a bad thing. Gives good games though. Also its very frequent and dependable.
My favourite casts, good coverage of the matches and casters with humor. Only wish they would have more to cast because i want to watch them every day.
IMBAtv is awesome. I'd recommend it to anyone new to SC. You can watch many games and at many levels. Has many good players and interesting games. Very enthusiastic casters and a very enjoyable watch.
IMBAtv is going to be holding a meetup at Blizzcon 2011 in Anniheim!
If you are going and you have your ticket then please quote this post to be added to the blizzcon 2011 meetup list! There will be a forum post about this later
I like your show and your humor and your enthusiasm very much! I hope you can keep going on for a long time!
I want to say one unimportant thing: I always thought you were living in a trailer, mcduffs. It looked like that of what i could see on your webcam and it would fit with your style (in my humble opinion) (and maybe because of your often used word "trailer park" ;-) ). I liked that {thought]. Someone... in the desert of nevada (don't know if there is a desert in nevada im from germany) living lonely in a trailer broadcasting freaking indiscribable good SC2 shows non stop! But now in your new (broadcasting)room (or just a different webcam angle?) the illusion is away. ;-((
As i wrote: just an unimportant (and maybe crazy) thought. =)

MC-dust or what the guy with the hat is called is way way WAY overboard, ok to try and be playbyplay and a football commentator in style but the guy sounds like a total fake... it's abit unnerving.
He's good when things actually happen though, but he fake laughs and fake rants way to much.

Thanks for the input. Its mcDuffs btw. Sometimes yes I may seem a bit overboard but I have been trying really hard to become better at casting. We as a team are always working hard to try to give you guys a better stream experience. We show up to every event we say we will. We dont back out because of a bit of lag we find alternatives. I work hard on making sure the stream works for everyone. I do appreciate the post and I have been trying to tone it down a bit. I just love Starcraft 2 and gaming. I will all my life and I do get very excited during game play because it is just so enthralling to me to see two great minds kicking ass! I dont want to come off as fake or come off as something I am not. I want to be able to do way more for the epsorts community because its important at this phase in things to do so. Gaming will be a big part of life one day and we are inching towards that. I hope this helps your opinion of me and if not then no big deal.
I don't know why that happens but justin.tv lags a lot for me and many fellow europeans, too. I've never had such problems with sc2-streams (or whatever the previous service was called). And I'm pretty sure it's not my fault because it's kinda the same amount of lag at 720p and at 240p.

We are aware of this issue and are trying to resolve it - for now, this week is dedicated to testing Justin.Tv

Actually a pretty impressive reply and stance. Influence gained.
Understand what yer getting at, just try to avoid that classic american football commentator thing where you draw out the pronunciation of the last word in a sentence. As said in the first post; It's better than the boring commentators and one can see that you really do get exited and I for one enjoy it, it's just not needed constantly to make things exited
Woohoo craftcup in an hour and a half, looking forward to chilling in chat and watching all the action. Great way to relax after a week of toil. Bring it on!

i dont know how long youve been following IMBAtv - but duffs enthusiasm isnt fake - he overdoes it but unintentionally and subconsciously , its merely because he gets pumped while watching SC2
Although after it has been pointed out to him, he has been trying to dial it down as he has explained in previous posts
On May 28 2011 07:22 lgn! wrote: fake enthusiasm is kinda sad, stop doing that pls
Hey man thanks for the comment. But as torai said I just genuinely love stacraft. I have always gotten so hyped up about starcraft and just love the esports scene. I really dont know how it seems to come off as fake... Its just love of the game that gets me all excited. Yeah i overdo it. Yeah I may yell too much. Yeah this may be true. But I will not waiver i will not change who I am or hold back excitement and enthusiasm because if i do that then I am just hindering who I am as a gamer / person. You do not have to watch the stream. But the others that do seem to like it just fine.
But I am glad we have you out here letting us know what you dislike.

Firesilver talks way too much and mcDuffs is way too quiet.
But, seriously, love the stream. The casters, especially mcDuffs, are very passionate about Starcraft 2 and it's great to have very enthusiastic people to watch.
i was watching the motm cast. mcduff is a great caster. so much energy, so flamboyant. just love it!
the other caster though .. firesilver was it? sorry to say, but it was borderline infuriating listening to this guy. seemed like he had zero interest in casting at the time ... no energy, no drive, the most laziest caster i ever heard in my life. it was annoying because here was mcduff providing such a great element to the game ... and then comes the other caster and just completely spoils the mood of the game and flow of the cast. i definitely don't plan on tuning in next time he's on air.
can u guys stop swearing every other word? fricking holy crap fcking awsome.. i mean really learn some words last time i watcha tourney with people who only know 1 word

Well, You seem to have watched that cast only here at Imbalanced.tv, It was 3am in the night and with a full household it's too hard to talk with roommates trying to sleep only a few doors away. I would appreciate it if people would watch Imba.tv for more than just a single cast before posting criticism.

At the time no we did not. As of now we should be able to have at least 2 people within the time frame of the NA tournaments to be able to cast them!
Easily the best stream there is. U interact with the viewers so it feels like we really are part of imbatv. Keep up the good work! And McDuffs, u dont need to calm down or lower your voice. EPIC :D
Why isn't this guy Featured. ImbaTv is constantly providing good content to the Starcraft 2 community. I think ive watched him cast umpteen tournaments. Super entertaining his Boss-mode Dances are the best. Hilarious content must watch show 90% of the time. go go!
I love this stream, it's so fun to just sit there and obs a game and when they are having breaks they always come through and entertain us unlike some other streams. GJ GUYS!!! <3 <3
Pharside here from NESL Starcraft 2, and these guys did an excellent job covering Iron Lady Opening Cup. These guys are gonna make it to the top very soon I know it.
Big thanks to imba.tv and can't wait to have them cast future events!
McDuff, Addicted and rest of IMBAstreaming rock 'nd roll. This stream is definately the most hyped that is out there. Get McDuff to stream some bigger tourneys as well. He has that touch that can get a little less knowledged ppl to watch the Starcraft, just like TotalBiscuit.
This stream is cool and enteraining all night long! great interaction with viewers and excellent commentary on games makes it the best stream there is! Oh, and thats all without mentioning the imba BOSS MODE!!!! Rawr
IMBA tv is BY FAR my favorite stream. I keep it up all day at work and generally put it on for a couple hours at home too. I try to pop in occasionally and catch the "BOSS MODE ENGAGED". Duffs is great and so are the commentators. Love these guys ^^
This is probably be one of the best SC2 streams out. They have a great team and a very enjoyable cast. The best part is how they cast 5 days a week and have very little downtime between their games.
I'd love to see this stream featured so others can see this imba cast!
Such a crazy series and one of the best i've ever had the pleasure to cast, I hope you all enjoyed the weird final series and congratulations to Nerchio on the win.
Really disliking the casters saying "Gold standard" every single time they mention a gold CC. Slightly angers me. Also am seriously missing boss mode and dufffs.
edit: Haha sick. Duffs comes back, says gold standard midgame goody vs lalush, then corrects himself "Gold high yield expansion". <3 imba tv. Just something about "gold standard" that I just dislike, it just kinda sounds stupid and/or contradictory.

it's a phrase that was coined by a doctrine from the US i think, and mcduffs just likes to say it. we know it's a high yield, and my guess is he just wants to keep it fresh by using new terms (Ex: Spood Beast)

It originated as a sort of "drinking game" back when IMBAtv started in december 2010, every time a gold standard aka a high yield was successfully placed, duffs took a shot

Torai clears up how the phrase started on the casts above me. However, the term gold standard itself has been around much longer than the US. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_standard

Love IMBAtv it's viewers orientated, varied, entertaining, entertaining and EPIC :-D This team works tirelessly to bring content to all they deserve to be Featured! <3
I like hats, beards, and Shishas so the choice in streams becomes rather limited. This is the best Hat,Beard&Shisha Stream out there, so i can highly recommend it. Oh, it also has Starcraft in it.
IMBAtv are lovable and friendly casters bringing us good games by lesser-known players at weekly events. The stream has never failed to entertain me. (to that contribute the good music and McDuffs' crazy shenanigans and dance moves)
IMBAtv, my hat's off to you! You definitely deserve more attention in my opinion, since you always deliver.

Awesome to hear man, Thanks for the kind words and feedback.
IMBAtv is most entertaining crew on TL. They deffo deserve a feature for entertaining us for soo long. They bring IMBA to beards, hookas and bossmodes. IMBAlonians! Rise up and make your voice heard!!!

Amazing that I actually registered to this website. But it would be impossible to not post and support IMBAtv after experiencing their show today. After MLG Anaheim weekend, with all those casters wearing suits looking really official... I suddenly witness a scifi dwarf integrated onto SC screens, and he's going totally wild.
Not only entertaining, responding to community at IRC he seems to have perfect position for those breaks between games. The other casters on the stream focus on serious follow, and strategy. Superb combination, congrats IMBAtv!
Would be excellent to see this dwarf to wear protoss, zerg or terran style scifi costumes.
always awesome casts <3 best part is that when every other caster gets the games with some delay, sometimes long, IMBATV gets us non stop action ! almost no downtime between games !
I love mcDuffs and IMBA.tv. Its awesome. I want to buy that guy bottle o' liquor. If mcduff's see's this tell him to PM me and I'll find a way to get him shmammered
IMBAlonians: The only group of people to actually manage to keep some fun in the equation of eSports! Example: SC2 + Good Players + Good Crowd + Good Casters = IMBAtv
I hate maths! Rock on IMBAtv don't change unless it's to get better and more entertaining and less like a dried up seaslug (how certain people think casting should be done) :-D

The casters, the atmosphere, the community arround the in the chat, are what make this stream - The BEST SC2 BACK TO B.ACTION broadcast that has ever existed.
Getting bored watching, is impossible to be honest.
I started watching IMBA a couple days ago since I was bored at home... the atmosphere is intense and the commentating isn't bad at all. Keep up the good work ! HELLYEAH, BOSSMODE!
I began watching Imba a few months back and McDuffs definately gives you excitement as a caster, as well as Addicted and Firesilver giving great commentary! Hell yeah's all the way to the IMBA team, in front of the camera's as such and ebehind the scenes!
If you want to see zerg player doing metabolic spood beast upgrade join in. ImbaTV is just amazing! Every stream gives me chills coz it's so amazing. Been a big fan for the past two months and I'm not leaving.

Well man it was an honest mistake by me (mcDuffs) I have been streaming / casting for like 10 hours by this point so thanks for stating this and I yell because i love the game and that's just the way it is. We do appreciate your opinion
Hellllllllllllllllll yeahhh! IMBAtv is the best stream online!! Keep up the amazing work and I hope you get a ton more viewers in the near future! I know that I will be watching. =]
My favorite caster in all of SC2 is Sir Duff! This guy has so much personality, intelligence and is so handsome! I want him on the next TL Open, ya I said it. IMBAtv... make it happen and thanks you too for all you do!
I havent had this much fun watching sc2 since last time I watched imba tv ^,^;;
Of allllll the teams of people bringing us games IMBAtv and Duffs are by faaaarrr the most entertaining! They got this sc2 casting thing on lock down. They NEED to be featured so that more will get the clue and tune in to have a great time with these sick dudes!
Thanks for all the kind comments guys, you are all awesome <3
Space Marine streaming with the Imba crew and the winner of today's Space Marine giveaway, streaming after ESL tonight and possibly more in the following few weeks!
Imba TV is fucking awesome! u guys are amazing, today's go4sc2 finals between MoMaN and BaBy was pretty good Thx for casting such great games! Keep up the good work
Actually enjoy these casters over most, they think, have fun, more refined over others, and give a more detailed cast. Plus they're cool, so I'm okay with this.
IMBA IMBA IMBA IMBA IMBA TTTTVVVV you dont beat these guys some of the funnest and out right nuttest casters there is today there channel grows rapidly and they stream litraly all the time i recommend them to any 1
Dnt forget to join up to there tournements $$$$$ up for grabs
Very good stream with awesome casters. You have fun with each second passing by, almost always being LIVE and not `live rebroadcast'. The staff is awesome, keep up the good work IMBAtv, as you always do.
Always enjoying the casts. I do not always tune in, but when I do I cannot help but smile and be thoroughly entertained. Just amazing work, amazing dedication, amazing fun.
ive been watching these guys for a while now and i just love the high energy casting of McDuffs and the rest of the crew the staff is really interactive with the viewers and it makes it for a dynamic viewing experience
Best stream out there! It is here where everything is imbalanced :D Love you guys! McDuffs, the people who don't like you, i don't understand, your awesome, my favourite caster <3
Best sc2 streamers yuoul ever find they really are amazing IMBATV watch em pray to the blood gods because they bring the pain this crew is the best IMBATV FTW
What can i say? We need more banelings in imbatv stream. And so i did:D Imbatv for life! :D Best casting crew ever Every cast is funnier than the last one BravoScripT
duff and the rest of the ImbaTV crew work REALLY hard to produce some pretty damn epic stuff. 24 hour stream and then BACK AT IT 9 hours later to do the ESL Finals bracket with a 1500 Euros prize pool. Liquid, dont overlook these guys theyre pretty kickass
The best of the current tournament streamers up today imo, allways shows a great deal of compassion about the game and major enthusiasm when it comes to the players and their styles/strategies. ^^
IMBATV FOR THE WIN you dont get better then these guys love em so much so worth ya time and effort watching these guys i would recommened them to any one
I love IMBAtv! I tune in almost each and everyday, and I got to say I enjoy it very much. The whole IMBA team is comprised of great guys, but mcDuffs takes the cake. He is just such an awesome caster, energetic and very entertaining.
I have had this thought occur to me a few times now.
If MLG had any kind of sense, they would fly out the imba.tv team to broadcast on one of their peripheral, beta streams. I do not think that imba.tv really fall into the kind of caster profile MLG is really looking for, but I am pretty sure that imba would fill a niche type of casting that would actually contribute a lot to the overall tournament experience.
Well, I say MLG, but it would be easily done by IPL4 as well. It might just be a fancy of some sort, but seeing that MLG has such a stacked open bracket that does not get highlighted because of the tournament structure, having one stream dedicated to it being hosted by a team of casters that have such a strong identity and a relatively dedicated fan base would do wonders for marketing their own tournament.

IMBAtv, you are my favourite SC2 stream! It's super how you have different casters appearing, with different dialects and interesting pronounciations. Even more super how positive view you have into the whole concept of streaming, us watchers, those players, and the whole thing.
I have a wish or an idea for you. Sure you must watch GSL and Korean Weekly, Day9, ESL,Dreamhack... and all other SC2 casts. Please all IMBAtv casters, do some mimicking or acting of all stupid, cool, strange and whatnot features that SC2 casters have. I hope that IMBAtv ppl besides playing, have time to have fun experimenting different casting styles and developing community TV. SC2 Casting culture is so awesome.. Hold that thought, we have an extension pack incoming!
For example, each of you can have different approach to, how do you make those first minutes the most exiting minutes of game? I don't know how Tastosis duo does it, but they create good exitement at start of game if they dont go talking that cunninig nonsense they can. A small clip of the caster where a useless unit portrait would be makes the stream unbearable for you? That's just retarded, do you stop watching shows like MLG/NASL if they get an overlay wrong? Sounds like it.
Duffs' armour was inspired by the fans of the show and most of them can't get enough of it, even at MLG people say they like it.
I'm all for constructive criticism but coming here to just flame someone who puts in a great amount of time for free to please a community is just wrong.
We've considered it before and every time our viewers are heavily against the removal of the cam.

Thanks for calling me retarded for saying my opinion on a forum. Doesn't make you an asshole or anything.
Yes, I stop watching streams that do not hold quality/standard, there's 20 of them online right now why wouldn't I?
This isn't about overlay, this is about that guy drinking/acting like a nerd on stream, some may like it, I don't. I just don't get the purpose and it alienates moderate people like me. I love to party, have friends, gf etc. I'm not some stiff nerd I just don't like the whole cosplay-extreme act... for me that is way to american and reminiscent of the whole monstertruck-culture which I'd never want in Starcraft II.
I'm not flaming anyone, where did you pick that up? It's just a shame since most of the production-value is nice but there is a reason most other tournament streams have over 2000+ viewers whilst you guys always seem to be bellow 2000-1500. You have everything to make a great stream, why do you choose to present it with a guy who either drinks/smokes/dresses "fun"ely for no apparent reason. I get that young people who are not allowed to drink or something think it's all dandy but I don't get what it has to do with Starcraft or the way eSports is shaping up.
I know he cares since I've written before and he answered quite politely, I do appreciate that: I just don't like the whole "LOL I'M SO WACKY! WOOOOOOOOO" thing because out of experience people who perform the most are also the people who lack self-confidence, there is a reason no one above the age of 30 is "wacky". Also it isn't an armour it's a ugly cosplay piece; There is a reason MLG/NASL/GOM uses suits to attract sponsors and not homemade battlesuits. If you guys get more viewers from doing it then don't mind me then, that's just my five cents.

Firstly, I don't see anywhere that I specifically said "you're a retard", I said that if you think that one tiny thing on the stream ruins it, that's retarded. I try to accept all criticisms and turn them into something useful we can use for the stream. I apologise if you took this more offensively than was intended.
Theres a difference between giving us feedback and just calling someone a cosplaying nerd, also you seem to base your entire basis for a post off of one single viewing of the stream, making it seem like we do this every event, we don't. This is a one off that rarely happens and it was simply to celebrate an event that is celebrated world wide.
Thank you for your feedback on our production quality, we do like to hold it to a high standard and although today we hit 2100 (again, it seems like you're basing this off of just 1 view of the stream), we've hit a milestone of 10,000 before and even 4,950 in the past few months, we also usually turn out to be (in most cases) the highest viewed stream for most of the events we cover.
There's a reason why MLG/NASL/GOM wear suits, of course there is, they are getting paid to do a cast and are also representing a corporation. We are just fans of the game that are bringing a type of streaming that for one reason or another a lot of viewers seem to like. Like i said before, people originally liked the idea of armour and still do to this day; we do what we do for the fans, that's what keeps us running, they seem to like it.
Again, that's not to say we don't want to turn into a stream like MLG/NASL/GOM ofcourse we do; it'd be fantastic to cover those live tournaments.
I will, however, agree with you that I think that Duffs' outlook is somewhat unprofessional and it may hinder some of our goals, but we are working with both fans and sponsors to figure out the best way to represent our stream, I respect that fact that you came here to post this and give us that feedback but I wish you would've done it in a less potent way than calling someone a "cosplaying nerd".
The latest and greatest Boss Mode blew so many people's minds! The chat exploded just as the bottle of Jim Beam exploded when Duffs hit it with a hammer?! That was incredible. You guys need to put that Boss Mode video on YouTube, if you already haven't.
"This isn't about overlay, this is about that guy drinking/acting like a nerd on stream, some may like it, I don't. I just don't get the purpose and it alienates moderate people like me. Wtf dood it sounds like you're not an actual human being and are trying (but failing) to hide the fact. "I love to party and have friends and girlfriend." ...M'kay..... G-.... Good for you.... If you can't stand seeing people drinking and acting like nerds then you have found the wrong scene, sir. Never go to a barcraft. Never attend an MLG, IEM, etc. Stay in your house with the doors locked with your Party Friends Girlfriend Etc. AND NO DRINKING and enjoy your life. McDuffs = too 'American' ? well WE DONT LIKE YER KIND AROUND HERE YEE HAW

After reading through the entire thread, it is apparent that not everyone appreciates IMBAtv's ''different'' style or the ''colour'' commentary they provide.
Since this demographic is quite small, instead of starting an argument and taking sides, I'll just point out that this stream has more positives than negatives. There are many people who appreciate it- many who would rather have a fun time watching an eSports stream like this rather than a ''professional'' cast, who prefer jokes and random facts to strict ''protocol'' commentary. IMBAtv provides all this while keeping one eye on the game! Don't get me wrong, their predictions, their overview of strategies, play by play discussion and their dissection of different periods in the game is right on the money.
They are just able to do all this while making sure that chat is involved and the people watching have one heck of a time!
And with StarCraft exploding in eSports, would it be TOO bad if this wonderful, wonderful game had something for EVERYONE?
I'll +1 Cheeseroni's post. He's right, the stream is different from the others. It's fun to watch, boss mode is very original and epic. Not to mention the fact how dedicated they are... I don't know other streams that follow almost every event they're allowed to.
love the stream and the enthusiasm...you guys really show that you love casting the game. However it is hard to keep track of the different sets of casters, as this is my first time viewing the stream. Raffle? yes please
ThorRush here! Huge fan of imbatv. I was a gold league scrub watching exciting games on IMBATV, which helped inspire me to get to high masters level and get far in these tournaments =)!! Hell yeeeeaah

yes, add icons for current casters or something, it would only help if done right.
Cheeseroni nailed it. ImbaTV is an unorthodox but very entertaining cast. The interaction with the viewers is on a somewhat epic level and the guys are dedicated to the game. SC2 got so big in the last year that these "niche" streams can exist and everybody should be thankful for that. Also there are often >2k viewers so yeah, there seems to be some affection for McDuffs & team.

its a great idea, we just need a simple way of doing it - if we can find someone to code it then sure
One of the only streams I bother with the chat during craftcup/go4sc if I catch it. As has been said earlier the top banner really needs redesigning it looks like it was made in mspaint and looks squished together. Casters remind me of the enthusiasm during broodwar dual casts which I found sadly absent from the sc2 scene. (No offense intended i'm just being objective here).
Hey guys, awesome work. maybe not the deepest analysis and stuff, but by far the most entertaining stream and casters :D. when do you see a drunk guy taking a hammer and smashing a bottle of rum while he's dancing!
I like imba for it's unique style, not a fan of all the casters but all in all a good job. And the games today were great, I'm of course rooting for my fellow countryman Nerchio! .. and the Zerg race ;p

We make it entertaining to watch your favorite games!
Great casting crew who provides informative commentary in their own style. They're really interactive with their viewers, and great for all skill levels. Allows been entertained. Thanks guys.
you dont say.. i have to say you are one of the most BM spectaters ive ever seen.. lagging the game, being asked to leave.. staying silent.. continuing to lag - then next game join the lobby again?
ive got 1 question.. WHY would you do something like that
Absolutely love you guys, but you gotta get rid of Bazooka Joe... I think the stream has gone down quite a bit since he started casting. It may be that I'm the only one, but I find him INCREDIBLY annoying and even aside from that, I think he is a poor caster as well. If I am the only one then so be it, Ill learn to deal with it, just my two cents...Couldnt be happier with the rest of the stream though, keep up the good work guys!
Every caster starts off weak. There's a learning curve. And the thing is we at Imba tv always support our newcomers and each other so we can constantly improve. Even after several months of casting (some months almost on a daily basis) I still have to adjust some things.
Give Bazooka some time :D he'll learn, improve and get better :D

I mean no disrespect towards the guy, and Im sure that if you guys share your tips and tricks then he will be up to snuff in no time. We understand and it has been bought up before, we will pass this feedback on and discuss it.
It was realy nice to see that 'a scrub' like IMBATV got hands on to casting the ESL tournament. This is great news and a good sign for a better future in upcoming 2nd year of streaming.
I remember, last year when you guys first started mcDuffs. I was critical of your production and casting.
However, in that years worth of time, I've seen IMBA.tv GROW And become something that I look forward to watching. I actually will pass up, other tournament casts (NASL is TRASH compared to IMBA.tv imo), and some others that are being cast by super well known casters.
The production and show you guys put on, is amazing. Your interaction with the chat, how you handle your down-times with conversation, analyzing the game, music, BOSS MODE, ect and ect. I can continue on and on.
I made sure to get my ass up early to watch ESL, and haven't missed a single Go4SC2 Cup, or whatever it is your casting, like, to the point where If I see IMBA.tv up? I will shut off other streams to watch you guys.
Your knowledge of the game has improved astounding, as well as the casters abilities, it feels like im watching a regular sports program on ESPN almost. Heck, for the time and effort put in? I would LOVE to see you guys put up to cast MLG, while ADDING INTO your current line up, the MLG casters, I personally believe that it would be such an amazing production if you were able to run the production the way you do for your other casts.

Happy birthday soon IMBAtv.. first year down.. many more to come
Yea well, you guys deserve all the love, and can't wait for the birthday party. Will be there. Like I said, keep it up and keep doing what you guys do. Love every second of it, specifically having so many casters and always great commentary.
actually...watching imba.tv now instead of the KSL lol......Was watching that but, meh Imba = better = Imba
And stream today in 1080p was AMAZING. So pretty ^^
what? 36 pages full of love and sill not featured on TL? shame on you TL!
imbaTV is one of the best channels when you are looking for energiezed SC2 shoutcasts! Or maybe THE best. Really love mcDuffs and his crew, and now in 1080p! awsome "SC2 starcrack action" more than any human can handle
Imba.TV is a number one casting show! The constant interactions they make with their loyal fans creates a growth in the community for the better! Join the fun casting. Join the tournaments. Join the IMBALANCE!
I just can´t believe this stream does not get featured. It has one of the most entertaining casts with a great effort to it. Much better than most of "professional" casts you just hit because of popularity. The people just love the game and show it through every single sweat they spare just to make another great effort to everyone in the community, which will result in total exhaustion.
I have seen them for the first time due to an accident, that is now almost a year ago. Since then almost every cast left me speechless of the professionalism and entertainment you can experience. I would have not found them through teamliquid, an infamy for someone who loves this site, just because it´s... wait for it... legendary.
To clarify my position and some of the most memorable experiences for me during that time..

For my own perception of mind, there is no greater influence to the game than imba.tv. I have learned the game through day9 and loved it through imba.tv. I hope they will be recognized more during the next year. I wish them the best for their anniversary and hope the next year will be more awesome than the last. You guys just rock speechlessly.
An appeal to all liquid.mods to get them featured. An appeal to everyone in the community to check them out.

1000th post to IMBAtv. They truly are amazing SC2 fans who gave it a go and now run an always entertaining and fun SC2 stream which covers a variety of SC2 tournaments and really is the home of non-stop competitive SC2 action. The level of enthusiasm they continue to have marks them as real fans of the game and the grass roots and upwards competitive scene. They are pretty much the A Team;
In 2010, a group of SC2 fans and players were sent to Diamond League by the Blizzard SC2 ladder for a cheese that didn't work. These men promptly escaped from dull ladder games to the Metalopolis underground. Today, still wanted by GOM TV, they survive as casters of fortune. If you have a tourney...if no one else is good enough...and if you can find them...maybe you can hire...IMBAtv!

Love you guys.
What an epic post. Legendary man.
Thanks so much for the feedback and a well spent 1000th post I must say!
Your Sound volume is way to high, the sound distorts, especially when you get excited, and it is soooo annoying, to the point where I find other streams. My Twitchtv volume is at 10% windows at 50% and the sound quality is lousy. For reference when I watch IPL the Twitchtv volume is at 50%,. I Like the energetic Duffs, but when the sound is poor, mostly in the treble area +distortions, it gets hugely annoying. Hope you take notice of this. As it may deter people from watching the stream.
Sigh, Today the IPL stream of Jjakji Vs Hero had very poor quality sound(DOA/CatsPJ) Maybe it's just a general thing in streams that the quality of sound isn't important.
Maybe only Day[9] has consistent good sound quality?

Thanks for the feedback its always useful to reflect on problems. I think we've only had sound problems just a couple of times and that was only recently but normally our sound quality is A OK.
I'd like to say, since I made posts about bad sound, it turns out, to my mega embarresment!, that my soundcard had issues, I installed a new card and sound is much better, so taking my foot out of my mouth here
I haven't heard your stream with new card yet, but I expect it to be better as well
the only problem with this stream is trying to sell merchandise with Blizzard IP on it without their permission. As long as the stream is very small with a small number of viewers no one will care.
if the stream grows and Blizzard wakes up they are going to tell u guys to stop selling merchandise with their IP on it. that'll make u guys look bad... so its probably better to fix it now before Blizzard or any one else notices.
on a positive note ... imba.tv brings to life small scale tournaments and qualifiers in a way you won't find any where else on teamliquid.net

It would be nice to have some more knowledgable casters on this organization. The content and dedication of imbatv is amazing, but the casters still don't get the game at all. TT
nice casting by ImbaTV on the IEM today. Mcduffs "knows what he does not know" and does not try to present some incorrect flimsy theoretical meta game analysis ... as certain other unnamed casters did at the IEM today....
Mcduffs style provides solid factual information allowing expert players watching the cast to draw their own conclusions..

I do admit some of our casters are not so sharp on the game as we would like them to be but we do have some great analytical casters among our midst. So just because you tuned in at a time when a caster made a mistake doesn't automatically mean all the casters share the same amount of knowledge. I urge you to tune in to our stream for at least a week ( as we do stream almost every day) and then you can see that we do have a lot of talented and very sharp casters on our roster. Thanks

We won't be casting the Antec Attack today Jim and yea everyone are burnt out but we will be back on Friday for the $100 CraftCup!

i should have mentioned a bit more because i tuned in to watch some of idra's matches and one of the casters was aware of the trends and such but the other one disagreed with idra's quick 3 bases when typereal went nexus first

Yea I thought you tuned in at that time. I wasn't there at the time and I did hear about that mistake but as I said I think It's only fair for you to give all our casters a chance and see for yourself the casting level of the rest of the casters which I can promise you is pretty high quality.
try reading all my postings instead of just the ones you dont like
although you may not like posts that criticize imbatv... teh worst situation would be if you were getting no entries in this thread at all.

ImbaTV's 1080p f'n rocks and makes it tougher for me to watch the GSL on standard quality
You guys are really great casters. Had a great time watching you cast a few weeks ago and I've been intentionally watching things on your stream ever since. You guys are really fun to watch and listen to, keep it up.
Just checking on what imba has been up to lately, I too a long long break from sc2 and am going to start playing again and watching streams. Looking foreward to watching your stream again!
Guys, give imbatv aloooooot of love theyre just awesome! Im pretty sad that i had to cancel my spot in the tournament and atleast half the reason why im sad is that im not able to meet mcduffs. Man i need to fckin wear ur HAT and glasses and doublebossmode with you!
Great casters, but not so great "management". I won a SC2 EU cd-key in a donation raffle about a year ago and I still haven't received it. The first months were ok because they were short on money and couldn't give me a key back then, but now that i've waited this long...

it's been 2 weeks since you posted this ... i'm surprised ImbaTV has not respnoded. They're pretty disorganized but their heart is in the right place.
i'm surprised they would promise something that was not already in their hands... i'd figure they'd only raffle it off only if they already owned it.
Just came across this (Oscillator Z - Skyrim) on youtube and reminded me of the old days. i tuned in every week for the casts of the go4sc2.
but about a year ago i stopped playing sc2 and stopped following the scene I remember last time i tuned in, mcduffs just got rid of his diablo3 beard, i was shocked haha.
Now I'm watching and playing sc again, and i was devastated to find out imbatv is no longer casting. I googled and found some facebook stuff about mcduffs working situation.
I hope everything's alright and things are going your way mcduffs+crew.
would really love to see the greatest sc show return to weekly casts. who else will engage bossmode if it isn't you guys, i miss you

Hey cpr good news! We are coming back into the scene as well! We are currently looking for more tournaments to cast but will deliver about 3 shows per week. I am working on the website to keep it updated with proper and current information <3 thanks for reaching out! Tune in soon!
I've seen like one broadcast at the beginning of august and a streaming session with mcduffs back then but there wasn't happening anything ever since or did i just miss stuff? I got really hyped by the comeback announcement, is that already over again? I hope not - still hoping for the best sc show to return!!! imbalonian forever

Why did you guys quit streaming? You were my favorite community stream
there were some personal things with everyone, duffs had a lot of work people got new jobs, (me myself went to college ) and we could not do all of this and Cast,so we took a break!
We are working on a lot of things! Subscribers emotes, new website, Games next to SC2 so almost everyday or so the stream will be online!
Pretty slimy of Imbatv to ask for subscriber money and donations and then just disappear without a warning.. pretty disappointed guys... u guys need to be more transparent on the site that generates all your viewership.. TL.Net
in late June Imba.tv said they would have their web site done July 1, its mid-August and its still not done
