Mr Huk, You are so cool and i love you. I like looking at your games with my unkle and you are my favorite starcraft. my uncle watches your replays and tries really hard to be like you but is not good enough. I want to grow up and be like you. I was at school and my friends did not know who you were, why not? you are famous right? i hope you beat the guys you play next and win lots. I think if pro/semi-pro gamers can make some money streaming, giving lessons, etc that's great. They're certainly not making much from tourney winnings. And I think we're all (the entire SC2 community) responsible for that. I think we should be chipping in to sponsor fan favorite tourneys, or getting sponsors like HDStarcraft and Husky did to sponsor tournaments (and that sponsor was so happy with the generated buzz they donated more money to the prize pool). Many of us watch streams/replays instead of watching cable tv, and it's entertainment we can certainly pay for. Even $1/month from the tens of thousands of stream viewers would do HUGE things for the game. And this is how we, the fans, can get empowered when it comes to this game. Husky can post his thoughts on Bnet 2.0 and be listened to by Blizzard because he has thousands of subscribers. Note: I'm not commenting so much on TL's ban as I am my view on the ethics of soliciting donations. Oh, and go HuK! Glad to see you streaming, even if it's not always your games. | ||
