Who is mio? Wholly unfamiliar name to me, and ICCUP search didn't turn up anyone interesting.

EDIT: hmm...nvm i see why I never heard of him now. But what level ICCUP~ish is he? G5 seemed pretty confident about stomping him.

I think he is around A-, maybe he reached A im not sure. He's very hyped by some guys at ggnet, I'm not sure why.

Too bad your aspect ratio is completely fucked up.. hopefully you can fix that, Mio.

Also, could you please give some background information about your time in competitive SC?

What is it that you do not understand? There are thousands of A capable Korean amateurs. He is famous because people promote him, not solely because of his skill.

Why so much hate Shauni?
Mio has fanbase because of his playstyle. I saw quite a few "Boxeresque" reps of him and his play is very fun to watch. Same with BeggarTerran - very nice style of play

he is extremely overhyped tbh...over at gg.net they all talk about him as if hes some A+ genius while in reality hes more like B+... its silly

Because he beats much worse players with "aggressive/unusual" strategies so a huge bandwagon started. -_-

shauni maybe if you bashed more noobs using unconventional strategies then uploaded those replays to every major replay site you would have a fanbase as big as his, jealous much?

Yes I don't doubt his skill or anything, infact hes one of my favorite terrans to watch reps of because of his style. But where did he make A+? Gosugamers repeatedly says hes A+ but ive never seen an account to back it up

Look, I wasn't trying to belittle the player Mio, I was just saying he has got a crazy fan-base, a bit like the ret fans here but over at ggnet instead.

He is a good player, but yeah he is overhyped quite a bit.

I don't really like his stream at all because he still hasnt tried to fix the resolution problem he has, and it makes it almost unwatchable. Plus its pretty laggy.

EDIT: I guess if you watch it through tl.net the stream is fine, but if you watch it at livestream it's still zoomed in and laggy. I take back my comment

His comment actually addresses your criticism quite well.

Shauni said that he's not sure why mio's hyped at ggnet. You replied that mio's hyped because he's good. Shauni said that there are lots of good players implying that mio shouldn't be hyped specifically.

Edit: Using mio instead of he for clarity.

Shauni said something that was extremely, patently obvious. It is self-explicating. One cannot be hyped unless people promote them. Obviously there are thousands of players capable of A. What makes someone like mio exciting for those people? One word: accessibility. I guess I could couch what I say in some sugary nice way or I could just say what I mean. I'm not attacking Shauni. I'm also not babying what I am saying. People just get their panties in a bunch when you aren't "nice" about something. I'm not being "mean" either. I'm just making a statement.
