So I doubt Loew is trying to play a 4-2-3-1 here probably more like a 4-3-2-1

Gomez is a huge mistake imho as Klose's mobility and active participation are much needed assets against Italy. Kroos over Müller is also a strange choice, I'd much rather see Reus or Götze. I don't know about Podolski either... Let's hope Löw proves me wrong. I guess Podolski is their to give Schweinsteiger and Özil a bit more freedom to be offensive, since he is playing his position really defensive compared to other players.

I dunno why they aren't using Klose at the starting lineup... he's such an asset to Germany IMO

Italy on the other side is at least looking a lot better. They didn't score any regular goals against England, but I they played really well besides that. In fact I would actually view them as the favorite against Germany. Maybe I'm missing something crucial though. Also why is Gomez playing? One of the games this EM I remember him having a statistic of scoring a goal ever 6 or so contacts with the ball, which does not necessarily say anything about the amount of goals he scores, but about his involvement in the games besides scoring. He is good at that though.

Their play lately (since the World Championship) has looked so much less flashy and fluid and while they won all three games in the group stages they didn't look that amazing doing so. Germany is in superb shape now , also Italy , but how the hell you cant see that Germany is so strong ?
