Germany has one of worste defences in EURO 2012 , but they have good results because vs weak team Germany attack all the time , so german defense was out of play.

And I'm sure Löw will stay as German coach. I belive he wants to do the WM 2014 and nobody will fire him. Niersbach our DFB president, allready told the press that Löw did a great job.

It's only average but not one of the worst. What about Denmark, the Czechs, the Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden? And did you smoke crack? I also can't stand the trash-talking of newspapers. The German defence failed to defend against Bolatelli plus some random guy for two times in a row. That was basically the match. While the first goal was really well played, the second also was, but was hugely unnecessary. Also, no one underestimated Italy. Everyone knows, how deadly they play and that they don't need a thousand chances to score (unlike Podolski or Müller). I'm generally in favour of controlled, defence-oriented football. That always worked on the highest level, except you are Brazil until the 90ties. If you are not, cut the crap.

Super Mario beat you because of 2 nice goals of which one should've been avoided... after that it looked a lot like holland did... opportunities galore, but all misses... I was actually sad that that last +4 overtime seconds weren't alowed with that one last pass into the box... with the goalkeeper there :D

The thing I didn't like was cocky attitude of German coach to sit BEST striker Gomez against Greece showing no respect for opposition. Yea checking YOUNG talent is important but you don't do it at expense of rusting your top player on the bench. I don't see Italy doing same mistake and making Balotelli rust in any game even if they had Greece in semis. One could say that Balotelli sucked and couldn't convert those one on ones for so long but he kept trying and scored. Anyway Low did a great job but fans believed in hype of media to plan the parade early. Gomez is an Iaquinta type of player and Iaquinta helped Italy to win World Cup in 2006. I still don't agree with referee who disallowed Gomez goal opportunity (Gomez took the ball from Capdevilla with strength and bassed to Shveinsteiger 1x1) against Spain in final EURO 2008 because Mario used his size to win the ball battle cleanly but ref pulled an upset with his decision. Just like Iaquinta who powered through his d-man and scored a nice header goal in WC 2006 run which was disallowed by ref. Those big guys don't have acceleration or speed but they have advantage in power and headers.

You miscredit Low and underestimate greece in one sentense, xP. If he'd played with podolski/gomez/muller, we would lose from Italy yesterday and not the germans. It was a clever tactical move, he wan't cocky at all, lol.

Playing your best striker isn't underestimation and Low did great by reaching Final, semi-final + stages of EURO in a row but everyone can make a mistake. If Reus/Muller/Klose scored vs Italy - Low would be king. So Gomez being tied for best tourney striker and a clean best German striker this EURO would be 100% stopped by Greece or created less than let's say Muller or Klose? Is it normal not to start Christiano Ronaldo for Portugal or Alan Dzagoev for Russia and today Mario Balotelli for Italy? I believe Germany would had won with their best power forward Mario dressed up for game against Greece yes and Gomez would keep up his form and played better vs Italy. Imagine the ammount of time Gomez rested - after Denmark game, he played like 15 mins in TWO weeks. It was what it was - Low decided to try out his bench. Gomez played every game before and after and if Klose was so awesome against Greece why did Gomez start against Italy? Well Klose started i 2nd period but again Low put Gomez to save the game from beginning. Can Klose play a 90 min game? Gomez sure can. Why try out Klose when even if he scored two he would still be less effective than Gomez at this EURO. It was what it was - making Gomez rusty while Balotelli who coldn't score with a ton of chances against Spain, Croatia and England was the starter in all games which kept him hungry for goals. Di Natale just like Klose are great strikers but can't be effective trhough 90 mins+ today! 4-5 years ago Klose and Di Natale would start but not tody. If Balotelli sat any game (even vs Ireland) than Italy could be not playing in the finals. But again it is what it is... I didn't like Gomez warming the bench when Germany played vs Greece and I feel he woulda played better if he didn't rest for almost two weeks prior to that game.
