And yes, I know I was dumb to choose Isaksson, but he was cheap and I seriously overestimated Cech and the Czech defense, so thought I would never need him :S

For semis and final, you get a huge amount of free transfers corresponding to the teams eliminated (well, not quite enough after the quarters if you're unlucky, so that might be another time), so right now you can right all those mistakes you did when starting off your fantasy team (like buying all those hilariously overpriced german players currently sitting on the bench - Kroos, Götze, Reus just to name a few - before they lose even more of their worth)

Right now, you have maximized information about player form and the upcoming match, with some teams already going home as opposition. ![]() For instance, do I sell Gomez, because he might be given the day off? Or do I risk it, because if he plays, he is bound to score against Denmark? Similarly, Croatian and Danish players are great in a points-price ratio, but they both have to play teams that are on fire. Worth the money? Lots of choices like that!

I didn't even know that option existed, and with the rest of the tournament not being nearly as restricted in transfers as the first 2 rounds, this is the time to use it. The only problem is buying the right players ![]() For instance, do I sell Gomez, because he might be given the day off? Or do I risk it, because if he plays, he is bound to score against Denmark? You can go for huge gambles, fielding players expected to score like Gomez - who might find himself benched, if german media are correct (up to now, they rarely were). On the other hand, you can go for pretty "safe" lineups, mainly choosing players whose opposition is already eliminated, or about to be. I've been going for a lineup I consider safe, instead of flashy, and tried to avoid games I think to be unpredictable (Poland-Czech, Group B). I also chose very low-price bench players, hoping my starting XI will all be fielded, so my bench wouldn't score anyway. Edit: was trying to upload my 11, but imgur dislikes me today. So in text: Malafeev - Zhirkov, Jordi Alba, Debuchy - Gerrard, Nasri, Pirlo, Blaszczykowski - Torres, Rooney, Cassano Good thing with the wildcard is, you can make as many changes as you want to. Decided fielding Nani (against Netherlands) and Young (disappointing performances) wasn't worth the risk, changes my team again ![]()

Going with: Casillas,Tyton Jordi Alba, Hummels, Lescott, Strinic, S. Poulsen Pilar, Cabaye, Konoplyanka, Dzagoev, Murawski Arshavin, Gomez, v. Persie Couple of risks with players that might not play, and counting on v. Persie to score against Portugal, because they HAVE to win with 2-0, so hopefully v. Marwijk will field a more attacking team (the defense is shit anyway, so just give up on that ![]()

What's the probability of the Italian defence effing up yet again, and against Ireland? I used my wild card too, only left 3 players, expecting to continue my rise in the battle for the title of "the" fantasy football manager. e. got Stipe as the risky backup, if Croatia park the bus and Spain goes for a million wishful shots he might rack one a gazillion points.

So yeah he's playing a more attacking style.
