GameHeart re-design fundraiser

Quick Summary

This campaign will allow me to drastically improve the backend of GameHeart so it is lighter-weight, more customizable to tournaments, and moddable so that it can become a foundation onto which myself or other developers can add to in the future to constantly improve the spectating experience of Starcraft.

What Will Contributors Receive?

What do you get exactly? Because of the nature of GameHeart the only people who are rewarded directly are tournaments, teams, players, and sponsors who all benefit in one way or another. You of course, gain the benefit of a higher quality spectating experience for Starcraft II.

The rules for what I can offer people are quite strict. So it’s mostly just a pat on the back, but I will create a credits page on the GameHeart website which lists contributors, organized in some way by their contribution.

Where Does the Money Go?

$1000 will go to my partner who helps me work with the interface files, $500 will go to the original developer of the “Stronger Team Colors” mod to compensate him for the many hours he put into it, some will obviously go to IndieGoGo and payment processor fees, and the remainder will go into my pocket to help me pay my mortgage and other expenses while I work on GameHeart full time for a couple of months.

If we do not reach the goal I still intend to try to complete a very basic version of the project. The money going to my partner, and the developer of the “Stronger Team Colors” mod will probably be adjusted based on how much is raised, and whether their parts of the project are able to be implemented at all.

The Impact

So what exactly will change? First let’s talk about what GameHeart is right now so you can better understand what I am trying to accomplish with this campaign. Then I will discuss Blizzobs, which is also important to understand. Finally I will talk about the actual changes that will come about as a result of this campaign.
