New event!
Hope you have your drinking pants on because our next event will show streams from not one but TWO eSports tournaments: the StarCraft 2 Regional WCS finals and The International Dota 2 Championships!
What's more, it will all be going down in the home of the Fun Experts: Funhaven!
I find myself strangely drawn to this odd configuration of activity.
It will be happening on Sunday, August 11th at Funhaven (http://goo.gl/maps/t0qvl). For those of you who drive, there is plenty of parking. For those of you bus, it's a 10 minute walk from the Iris Transitway station. For everyone else, it's a bit far out but hope to see you there all the same!
The timing is not certain yet; we'll be running for sure between 3PM-10PM but we have to firm up the ends. We'll update this page once things are set.
There is a 5$ cover this time BUT you will get a 5$ Funhaven game credit in return. If you wish, you may pay 10$ and get a laser tag pass as well as a $5 game credit (normally would cost you $13). If you buy any of the other Funhaven regular packages you will also get access.
Food and drink is available (there is a bar in the event room) all night long.

IN ADDITION TO THE ADDITION we're running a survey to improve our setup. You can find it HERE . The prize has already been distributed but you can still fill the survey out to help us! Maybe if we get another 100 unique respondants we'll do another draw.

I actually just yelled in excitement in my living room. I've been waiting for this, you don't know I happy I am! The best part is I live like a couple block from there, and I really like the Clock Tower. I'll be there.

Well, I'm 18, but if that doesn't matter, then I'm totally there lol. I'll be back in Ottawa on the 25th so it works perfectly. :D
Hopefully there are some good players showing up, so I can find some practice partners ;D

It was very easy to get the basement - I walked in and asked the bartender; she took out the little scheduling book and the date was free!
I was actually thinking of going to MVP first, but I thought I'd try the Clock Tower just in case since they have the delicious brews.

The room can technically hold 90 but I'm told 80 is cozy so I imagine 90 will require some creative stacking.

Awesome time!
People kept showing up in droves... too bad we couldn't expand upstairs there were like 10 people there ><
They actually had to remove the tables mid-afternoon to clear more room for chairs... pretty sure the Fire Department would have had a fit if they had seen how packed the place was! Luckily they were probably all busy with the parade going on that afternoon...

Yes. Legal drinking age in Ontario is 19, but even if you are not 19 you are allowed to attend. Just don't try to buy alcohol!

We're aiming to have the tournaments 3x a year; one month off, one month signups, two months tournament. We'll reevaluate after a season or two, though. So, Legion in particular, we're looking to have the next MGM tournament signups in April, and the finals in June.

I was there to watch the Winter Arena finals on Feb 26th and even blogged about it on my team's website.
I will be there again on March 25th - Looking forward to another great time. Please keep this up!
