Most new posters who get banned get banned in the strategy section because they post some inane strategy, get flamed by senior posters because it sucks, flames back and get banned. On the flip side I've seen new posters who get jumped on by senior members in the general forum on some topic where they are rigth and then proceed to flame them to the general applause of the rest of the forum. It's not about bending over and all about picking your battles, and realising that you have to pick them more carefully than the guy who has 1000x more posts than you do. | ||

The thing is, when most newer posters 'catch shit' from veterans, it's usually because the newer posting is acting outside of their bounds, or against the general flow of the site itself/the way we do things around here. This is typically because some people when they're new will sign up here, and just start posting/replying their own way, without looking at our rules, or at least lurking a little bit to see the way things are done here. That's really all we ask. I would recommend just worrying about your own posting, because if someone is catching hell, trust me, there is a reason. And we as moderators do our jobs to make sure whoever is acting out of line is dealt with properly. | ||

I couldn't be sure, as i have seen quite a bit of newbie flaming for no apparent reason which was definitely not sarcastic and not for a valid reason either, apart from "Joined ?? months ago" which means very little apart from as you said strat section. Oh well im just concerned for random guys who are coping shit off some of the dicks here as this is the only site of its kind and offers more than anyone could ask for. | ||
