Gay StarCraft Players - Page 144

Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion. For regular posters, don't quote the trolls.

In other news, I've been telling a couple friends about my decision to finally start dating guys. One of my best friends is a lesbian and knows I've been interested in it for a while, so she's super supportive. I've only felt comfortable telling it to my female friends so far. Everyday at work I joke around with my male coworkers about stuff and I can tell one of them seems to have problems with GLBT, despite saying he has no problem with it. It's sort of like the "I don't have anything against gays, I have a friend who is gay" response. Anyways... I don't feel a dire need to tell everyone or anything. For now I'm happy just letting a few of my closer female friends know. I'm curious what's a good way of bringing it up with (straight) guy friends - especially ones I work with everyday.

My roommate in college was straight and we just got super drunk and I spit it out at a bar. I'm still not entirely sure whether I meant to tell him or I just had loose lips. Either way he knew he was one of the first people I told so he spent the entire night thanking me for trusting him so much...we're idiots when we're drunk. Oh well, we're still best friends and I've been an awesome wingman for him.

I haven't watched day9 for a while but i was sooo glad my friend showed these to me again. X3 <3 As for coming out to straight guys... If you can think of a good way of doing that, I'd love to hear it as well. I originally thought of trying the comedy approach but I hear stories of people who start running it as an inside joke (or so they think)... so I just kinda plan on going "Oh and by the way i'm gay." But of course, honestly, I wouldnt've done it if it didn't have some pertinent relevant interest. (My BF from out of state is coming and staying in my dorm for a bit, wanted to get definites from my roommate on things and such since, well, he's a great guy and I didn't want to put him in a bad position either.)

I'm just scared watching him (and already pantless, hoho!). But seriously, I could never play this game. I scare easy. DayJ is a trooper, and I have mad respect for him no matter how much he loses his shit. I believe he truly is made of testicles.

I've only ever had sex with one guy (long term BF) in my life. I've never been tested cause I've basically never had sex... And the whole "leaving the house" thing, while theoretically good advice, is a LOT harder when you have to do it by yourself. And mind you, I want to meet other geeks. Which means I want to meet someone else who also has a hard time leaving their house. The probability that we'd actually find each other is abysmal. Thanks for the advice though. One of these days I'll just get mad enough at my solitude and march myself to a bar and just not give a fuck (no pun intended). Edit: ![]()

Barcraft, LANs, mtg circuit, conventions.... all sorts of places to meet awesome geeky guys. Whereabouts do you live? Unless you are way off the beaten path (nothing wrong with that) there are likely tons of stuffs to do near you!

We have a really great bar scene but ever heard of "Dallitude?" It's real and dear god it's scary. There is a barcraft that's about a 20 minute drive away from me and I'd like to go for Providence. But it's sunday night and I have one of those stupid jobs monday morning. I am 100% going to MLG Dallas next year. Oh, and I'm currently living with my EXTREMELY conservative family (to whom I am not out) so I can't exactly just be like "I'm goin to roundup to meet some cowboys, don't wait up!"

@ Silverfoxx about Day9: I screamed like a little girl when that thing chased him. And I don't I've ever heard Day9 scream like that. I didn't finish his stream 'cause I needed to sleep for work (yeah right!), but before I left, you can see that he was truly terrified after the incident. LOL. It's amazing how games do affect you psychologically.

X3 <3 Yeah he's really cute when he's scared... especially when he starts holding manfred. :D He is indeed totally made of testicles. <3 LOL and that link to the old thread w/ incontrol is hilarious, thanks for that. ![]()
