Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion.
For regular posters, don't quote the trolls. |

You're not the only one. People won't shutup about BF3, CoD:MW, and Skyrim now. I don't like playing dozens of games for short bursts of time. I generally just play a couple games for months on end. Like now I pretty much exclusively only play 2 games: Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition and Starcraft 2. Occasionally I find an awesome game like the Xbox/PS3 Ninja Gaidens that I play through a few times on multiple difficulties, but usually I stick with just those two games.
Sometimes I whip out some Borderlands for some silly FPS fun. I don't like the simulation FPS stuff - always been more for the Unreal Tournament and Quake styles there.

Skyrim likes to lock up my computer randomly, which is weird cause I meet the requirements. :\ I really like what I've played so far though. I Also play a lot of DotA 2 and LoL with my friends. I forbid to let myself play unless said friends are playing with me.
The things I would so for a Dota 2 key...

I'm an everything guy. I like all game genres (and I play them all). The only one's I don't play a lot of is fighting games, and A-RTS games like League of Legends.
Right now, I play Battlefield 3 for PC with Gravity quite a bit, and Skyrim is my single player game for the next year. Though if Skyward Sword is as good as people are saying maybe that will change. I buy pretty much everything though, and I'll play any big releases.
In general just ♥ games. Everything about them.

honestly, I can tell you. Skyward sword is a GREAT game. I don't like Zelda games and I don't play it, but im watching my friend and he's RAVING, the fights are cool, the controls are good, and most importantly, they ACTUALLY USE THE CONTROLS EFFECTIVELY
thats what upsets me most about the wii is expecting people to use them for precise things like shooting certain points or something... x.x
On another note, I typed in skyrim sword without realizing. now, THAT would be an interesting mix of games right there.

Scratch all that about studying all weekend and not playing Skyrim until next week. It's 5:30 am and I've been playing all night. Not studied a stitch for my Sociology exam tomorrow. Panic mode to set in shortly...

Nah, eventually you hit a point of gaming bliss where school simply doesn't matter.

Around the same time you realize you should be studying for that test that is the next day. You end up figuring you are screwed anyways, and just settle down for 12 more hours of gaming then end up entirely missing the class the next day because you overslept. Yet you don't mind, because all you want to do is settle down and play another consecutive 12 hours.
Complete and utter bliss.
Seriously though, good luck on your test.

I'm tempted to buy Skyrim. Never played any Oblivion games, but I did play Fallout 3, and I love the Fallout series. Blargh! And my sister wants to get MW3, and the bf wants Skyrim. I can feel my wallet tremble in fear.

I wouldn't really say it's like WoW. The big thing for me about single player RPGs is the story can revolve around you, you have all the freedom and you shape the resulting world. An MMORPG doesn't give that same feeling.

The day people realize that they discriminate themselves is the day we stop this nonsense, no one cares that you are gay, no one cares you are a girl, no one cares you are a guy. The moment that you make it a "cared" thing is the very moment something happens. Like for example, if you are playing online with someone, you don't have to tell them your a girl or gay "Gl hf I am a girl" "Gl hf I am gay"
Like what kind of reaction are you hoping for or searching for? If your talking on a VoIP and you happen to be gay, or happen to be a girl no one really cares... Think about it this way, if you are in a skype conversation you are in there with your friends, your friends wouldn't be your friends if they already either didn't care, or don't notice or just are indifferent. You shouldn't seek "acceptance' because it isn't like we are denying you from playing the game. If you are getting denied access to playing with people because you are gay, than you shouldn't be playing with those people anyways. If everyone doesn't want to play with you, maybe it is you and not you being gay.
Reality is, girls and gays who play any game are quickly made fun of, but without good reason. For example if a girl says something stupid, a lot more comical material can be made up based on previous "woman" jokes. Such as bringing up a kitchen etc etc. Same with gays, anything stupid you say can be turned into a gay joke. It really only comes back to what YOU did wrong not us. Anyone else in our community says something stupid we make fun of them. So if you like to "put dick in your mouth", maybe you watch how you react to a situation before you say anything if you are afraid of being made fun of. We all have to do that. Like if I don't want to be made fun of for being a very angry gamer, I shouldn't flip out at certain things when people are around. But I do not see being gay or a girl applicable to video games at all...
So the long and the short of it is, if you are worried about being gay and playing video games and its effect on how much fun you have, you should just think about having fun and being who you are. If you constantly ask every guy if you can suck him off because you are a gay guy you might not fit in very well. You don't have to hide that you are gay, you just don't have to present it to the world constantly. If people ask you tell them that's it. Same for girls, no one cares you are a girl its just funny because we think there are no girls online, then you say something stupid and we insert joke. Again no reason to hide being a girl, just accept that fun will be made and it won't be made forever, if it is a constant thing look to what you are doing and not other people.
Last thing, people are really really really stupid, and rarely do people have the empathy to be kind to other people. So don't get too offended by what people tell you, especially if it is because you are gay.

And in a moment hopefully the person who did not read ANY PORTION of this thread whatsoever will be warned and have that post removed. valid content in a blog maybe, but... please stop derailing this thread.
Anyone else try lockpicking a master lock in skyrim? my friend saw a sword in a display case and decided I MUST HAVE IT.
He went from lockpicking 27 to 30 on one lock. XD
took him forever to get it open too. and right as he opened the thing to steal the sword a guard walked by, saw the thing open, and it said the option was red to steal the sword... and he nearly crapped himself because he thought he was already caught. hes currently waiting to get the sword until guards leave. :3

I think thievery/assassination MUST be the fastest way to level - You improve so many skills at once which obviously leads to faster level ups. I'm level 22 (and literally only just started the main story line) playing a thief/rogue/assassin style and my boyfriend is level 8 playing a mage vibe and we began playing at about the same time.
Skills mostly used are Archery, Pickpocket, Sneak and Lockpicking with a bit of One Handed and Light Armor.

I'm so glad this thread is still going on. Everytime I read this thread I see it growing.
I have to say i'm pleasantly surprised with the "open mindedness" of people on here and found that there are quite a few (and good looking lol) gay/bi guys on here :D Being gay isn't easy as everybody will tell you but now I'm happy the way I am - plus it gives me something more to enjoy from players like Select, Firezerg, Minigun, Drewbie...etc than their gameplay only xD
On another note I'm glad about the gay chat channel: GTL I'm usually on the EU server so say hi if you see me there
