Don't post in this thread to say "gay gamers are like everyone else, why do they have a special thread?" It is something that has been posted numerous times, and this isn't the place for that discussion.
For regular posters, don't quote the trolls. |

I don't understand why you would think to say this. There has been long complaint that maybe gays are discriminated against or hated on, and how many feel they should be treated more equally. I don't get for the life of me how you can hold this and also have a double standard for sheer unnecessary, vulgar comments such as this one. Say I made a thread for straight people, no one's going to come in telling everyone how much their girlfriend likes their penis, because 1) nobody gives a shit 2) no one needs to hear that. So many people in this thread time and time again feel like they are beyond some sort of common courtesy and general acceptance of language, and that infuriates me.
This is discrimination, there are allusions and direct outright references to heterosexuality and straight sex in almost every aspect of life. If I really tried, I could probably see at least 1 every ten minutes, just living my life completely normally (though I travel a lot and work with and in media a lot, so I may get more exposure). But the moment that there is any reference to homosexuality, any gay couple holding hands or doing a minor bit of PDA, all hell breaks loose and people start crying "stop putting your homosex all over my life, stop flaunting your life, don't you want equality???" Its a double standard, congratulations, you just brilliantly got your latent homophobia and intolerance all over the one thread I get to go to and really be myself. All rights you had to bitch about seeing gay content in the "Gay Starcraft Players" thread ended WHEN YOU CLICKED ON THE LINK.
Dear god, it would be like me going into a porn shop and bitching that there is sex all around me.
So many people in this world time and time again feel like they are beyond actually thinking about the fact that other people have different experiences and feel entitled to have every interaction pre-screened for their own comfort and safety so that they never have to experience the cognitive dissonance of there being multiple ways to experience, interpret and live life. And that infuriates me.

In context this is not even slightly vulgar. The act of having a sex change fundamentally boils down to changing your downstairs region, so why is it so unreasonable to mention you actually like your penis, as does your partner? He did not post pictures, or describe graphically what he and his boyfriend do, so what is the problem?
Out of context it could be interpreted as you describe. If he'd posted it in a thread like " post pictures of your boyfriend/girlfriend" and randomly mentioned the fact that he and his boyfriend loves his penis then fair enough. With the topic in question though it's almost entirely unavoidable that something like this had come up. Indeed a hypothetical thread such as "Ever considered a sex change?" I'm pretty sure would come up with similar responses but replace boyfriend with girlfriend...

edit - I hate posters who read the last page of a thread whilst ignoring the 10 pages that came before it.
I apologize for being one of those posters.
I'm going to remove my participation from this thread as I'm not willing (or able) to invest the time to properly do so.

I still get the giggles when straight people willingly click on this link and are surprised at what they find. The majority of the recurring posters in this thread are male. Of course sex talk (and all the nity, griddy details of such) will happen. That's how were wired, wether gay or straight. I'm sure there is some ladyfingers in the mix, and you'd probably be surprised how openly they are willing to take conversations sometimes as well.
On top of that? It's silly to belittle someone for simply answering a question that posted a page or two back. If you do decide to come here, atleast do a little back reading. Sometimes it sucks that this is 100+ pages long, simply because a multitude of subjects have been covered. Sometimes more than three times. But the majority only see what is happening up to date. There's a lot of knowledge on multiple ideas and questions that, I fear, sadly get overlooked because its on page 50 or something.
Nice to see some new faces in here. If you do get bored, have a gander back at some of the older pages.
Oh, and GTL (chat channel) on EU and NA for shits and gigs, and the occasional obs games!

do you want to say that hetero men prefer to use only polite terms describing the wonder of the feminine nature? then it would be an analogy. I dont see gays claiming anything above the norm

Ok, so did no one go to a Halloween party? Come on guys, post some photos!
I'm not playing starcraft right now because I just played three matches in a row where I secured myself an early lead and then fucked it all up by engaging in a bad position in the midgame. Soooooo frustrating!
So now I'm just going to get like 5 observers to make absolutely sure that I engage correctly.
P.S. Barburas, sorry to leave you hanging in GTL, you game literally lasted forever and I felt like watching some series .

About 3/4s of what you've written has zero relevance to what I said. I would be equally disgusted if I saw a straight person talk in the same way as this, so your whole speech on discrimination was pointless. My point is that I think gay people have some huge urge to be needlessly vulgar and flamboyant at every single given opportunity. That has been my experience with almost every single gay person I have met, and this thread only adds to that stereotype. Just because you are gay doesn't instantly make it discrimination if I say that what you're writing is utterly needless, because it is, just as it would be if someone straight had said it. If I see a straight person writing 'oh my god I just love my penis in a vagina', I'm going to think that they are a fucking moron just as much as anyone else, including a gay person. It's solely because I see it too often for it to be a coincidence anymore. I'm just confused as to what it is that makes a lot of gay people want everyone to know about stuff that they should more than likely keep to themselves.
EDIT: Your analogy of the porn shop is quite possibly one of the worst I have ever seen for defending anything. If you'd like people to see gays as purely driven by sexual pleasure, then sure why not. It only adds to my point.

+ Show Spoiler + ...Okay, are you serious? Quit being so damn sensitive. It's a joke. in a gay thread. about sex change operations. do you SERIOUSLY think that there is gonna be no VULGAR comments about that? Lemme just hazard a quick guess. You're also disgusted every time someone says faggot in a video game when describing someone being a jackass? If thats a no then you have ABSOLUTELY no right to comment on this in the least bit. Ever hear someone calling someone else a dick? If that didn't offend you then you have NO RIGHT to comment that my post was vulgar. If you yourself have made a racist joke, a gay joke, a feminist joke, a sex joke, then you have NO. FUCKING. RIGHT. to comment that my post was vulgar. I'll be perfectly honest, If I heard a speech about some guy wanting a sex change operation to a girl but saying he and his girlfriend love him being a guy too much, in ANY WAY (and ill spare you the 'vulgar' details about being a man since obviously you haven't gotten comfortable enough in sex-ed to actually SAY the words for genitalia anywhere other than online.) I would laugh it off, and assume it was a joke. You know why? because I have a sense of humor. I'm sorry, would you have even felt the same way if your best friend said "I could be gay but I just love the sex too much." or "I'd be gay if it weren't for the butt-hurting thing."
Maybe you're thinking about this the wrong way. Maybe its not just the gay-culture that needs to be desensitized, though by god if we don't have all the right for the years and years that most of us have to sit pent-up, hiding every aspect that is normal to us for fear that parents will find out and kick us out, we'll be beaten up at school, employers wont hire us because of it or ANYTHING of the myriad of options that prevent almost all of us from coming out until late high school or college. Maybe its instead, the STRAIGHT community who cant take a joke from any of us.
I'd go find you thirty threads of straight guys making sex jokes that you'd be lying if you said you didn't laugh at, but you know what? There's no point. because you'd come on here, and you'd lie to us. you'd say you were disgusted even though WE, WE THE SENSITIZED, would have no qualms about it.
So how about this? Before you post any more bigoted, ignorant claims, think before you talk. and send me a private message. if you REALLY want to talk about my joking comment, I'll be MORE than happy to send messages back and forth with you to prove to YOU that you're the one at fault here.
Edit: I apologize to all of you who did read this, i'm not usually this angry.
SO! Back to the normal scheduled thread of happiness, my boyfriend is visiting me for thanksgiving this year, and we're going to spend it with my family! <3 Course, this works out nicely, but for this to happen well I have to tell my roommate hes coming and I don't feel like doing it... because it WILL involve coming out to him (which i've been wanting to, just havent gotten around to it.) since he'll be staying in my college dorm for a bit and I was hoping to share a bed with him if my roommate's okay with it. If not, oh well, i'll be taking the floor. ^^
Anybody got any tips on how to go about it or anything? <3 ^^

I usually come out to people in one of two ways, I'm either incredibly blunt, or I lead the conversation at hand towards it (somehow, it just seems to happen with me xD)
