Since a lot of users wanted to host one in Manhattan, I have decided to pick up the slack. However, I do provide a warning. Last time, the PCs kept freezing when we tried to play Brood War; I cannot guarantee that this will not happen again. I am thinking of a small meetup, but if this turns out big, I have no qualms with it.

Time: 2:00 PM EDT
Place: NetZone Internet Cafe, between 5th and 6th Avenue and 32nd Street.
Price: I forgot. Should be around 3.50 per hour if I recall correctly.
What are we doing: BW, maybe DotA/HoN if there are enough people.
Food Accommodations: There probably will be Korean restaurants, as well as others if you guys want to go to Times Square, or a run to the 53rd and 6th official halal cart that starts around 8PM.
How to get to K-Town in Manhattan
By NYC Transit: There's the D,F,Q,N,R,W trains at Herald Square (34th Street and 6th Avenue). There's the 1,2,3 trains and the A,C,E from 7th Avenue and 8th Avenue and 33rd Streets. There's the 6 train from Lexington Avenue and 33rd Street.
Tournament is optional. If anyone wants to play, I will set up a tournament at the site.
Please state that I am confirmed or I am tentative.

List updated. The problem with bumping it up would be the Memorial Day weekend, where I would assume that most people are going to be busy attending with families, going on a getaway, etc. If I try to host it on a weekday, everyone would be too busy.

I will most likely be there since the beta was extended.. but i dont even know if netzone's computers can handle sc2 smoothly.. that is one shitty ass pc bang.. i remember playing scbw there last year and it was absolutely horrible. only plus i can think of is that you can smoke cigs inside lol

Yeah, I know. Too bad NYC has terrible LAN centers to host in Manhattan. There isn't much choice in that matter, except that there are onces in Chinatown, but I assume they're somewhat shady.

Last time we just met outside of the LAN area. Basically if there is a group of people, 99% they will be from TL. Let's say you come late and no one is outside - basically that means that we probably started the LAN session, so just find the group of people playing BW or SC2.
Also if you would like to, PM me for my phone number and feel free to text for directions or when you are coming, etc.

I was wondering about that too. I"m going to bring an Installer and put a copy of C:\Program Files(x86)\Starcraft II Beta\ on my flash drive and see if after installing and replacing the program file folder if it'd work. xD
Note: I'll be there like an hour and fifteen minutes early cause I got something i want to take care of there, so if anyone wants to meet up earlier, we can do that. just got to keep in contact somehow. ;D

Finally back home!!! So hot today and that bus wait was sooo long... The lan here today was fun and great! It was unfortunate I didn't stay till the very end to the drinking section but I will next time on Lan #6 (on Lan #5, I'm driving and I am strict with no drinking and driving at same time...)
It was great meeting everyone for the first time as well as coming to my very first TL Lan that I never met any TLers in NY, especially Pokebunny. Today was an unofficial grudge match but just you wait, I will train myself the next couple of weeks to have a rematch to beat you! The only reason you lost was b/c I didn't play SC1 for like the past 4-5 months b/c I didn't had it on my computer/laptop. I'm installing iccup right now to start practicing! Prepare yourself!

Just because someone's in fOu doesn't mean they're super gosu. I recall City being around B- level a while back, dunno about now but he didn't seem that amazing from when I played him.
