run dxdiag basically it should tell you your dx version, assuming it's not sc2 failing to call dx it's easy to check just run another game in driect x sense most windows game by default run in a dx mode just open another game. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/190900 | ||

However, the problem was fixed by simply restarting my computer. I don't know why this worked but I'm glad it did. Thanks for the help though | ||
