A reason last year's ST1 was pretty much a qualifier and doesn't give points. Ditto for this year, unless something else changes. Gives leeway to operate freely calendar-wise outside the EPT. Hope this sheds light.

That would be pretty welcome, since having a month+ break before Katowice without a major tournament would feel a bit dull...
There is Last Chance and then there is Wardi 2021 to get our SC2 fix already EDIT: And don't forget Neebadelphia
Katowice is end of February so Wax is right there's almost a month without anything major if the Super Tournament doesn't fall into that frame. Which I suppose it will cause it's a Code S qualifier now and that would mean they can start Code S shortly after Katowice.

Oh you are right. I somehow had in mind that Katowice was way more spread out across February but it is only the last 5 days. My bad

The rules are pretty clear. They would get disqualified.

If they also lied about their birth date they might cause some problems later on

I see two or three new talents. Hopefully they can make through the qualifiers.
Any idea why he's not playing? Or is he just recuperating from injury in preparation for Katowice? This doesn't sound too promising as GSL ST provides seeding into GSL Season 1.
Is it the first time Special /foreigner make to GSL Super Tournament? He just beat Rogue 2-1 to qualify into lower tier bracket.
Edit: TIME managed to qualify during ST 2 2017 when Rogue barely qualified for his Blizcon chance by winning the tournament. It has been three years since then.

If so, funny that Ryung vs Puzzle happened
Yep that's him
That's so awesome. Maybe we'll see him along with Ryung sometime this year in GSL.
I personally loved Puzzle, his Protoss style was so cutthroat and fun to watch, he was also ultra clutch in GSTL for SlayerS, took over Ace position over MMA later in the GSTL seasons
Overall, really happy with the lineup, this tournament is going to be awesome.
Reading a good amount on Korean forums that Maru is skipping Super Tournament to heal up, and that it is not a motivation issue or anything like that. He said that Super Tournament in particular is really tough on his shoulder because of the 4 day grind.

Puzzle was great, he had a lot of potential. Symbol too, I remember they had a big quarterfinal or semifinal match in a GSL

Code A final maybe?
Puzzle really burst on to the scene and was really exciting and just never really pushed on to the next level sadly, but cool to see a blast from the past still competing!
