Let's get one thing straight: In the world of SC2, absolutely NOTHING is for certain. Right at the start of this new season, did anyone actually think to themselves:
- INnoVation is going to win 2 more tournaments before the WCS Global Finals
- sOs will fail to win a GSL title again because of a terran
- Stats and Dark are going to face off against each other in another SSL Finals
- herO is going to make back-to-back GSL Super Tournament Finals
- herO and Rogue are going to face off against each other in two finals
- Rogue is going to win Super Tournament, gain just enough points to knock sOs out of the WCS Global Finals running and take his teammate's 8th spot
- SpeCial will be the only foreigner remaining in the Ro4 of the WCS Global Finals
- Neeb, after winning 3 WCS championships this year, will not even make it past the Ro16 of the WCS Global Finals
- soO, the King of Silver, is going to add another "accomplishment" to his unparalleled record
- Rogue, after just barely making it to the WCS Global Finals, is going to become the WCS Global Finals champion
- INnoVation, with the greatest hype anyone has ever gotten for the title of GOAT, will fall in the Ro8 of the WCS Global Finals again
If you can honestly look me in the eyes and tell me that you predicted every single one of those outcomes, then... YOU ARE A LIAR!!! Either that or you really need to be working in the professional world of clairvoyants and psychics...
Speaking of clairvoyants and psychics, that's pretty much the position you're put into when you participate in Liquibets. You are actively trying to look into the future and predict the outcome of each and every match so that you can score enough points to win the season. Wow... An 11 point difference between #1 and #2? It's been a while since I've seen that much of a gap. I'm not sure what voodoo magic Cricketer pulled or what kind of ritual he conducted, but whatever it was, it sure as hell worked. For the final month of liquibets, I don't think Cricketer was ever really in danger of losing his #1 spot. What domination...
