We are sad to inform OSC-ROOT fans that as of today July 5th 2017, at the conclusion of one years partnership, OSC-ROOT has been dissolved. We part on good terms, unfortunately, as can often be the case, partners involved have different future plans, expectations, and focus in mind going forward, and as such, have elected to mutually part ways at this point.
Assisting players closely and seeing them succeed is a core goal of OSC, and under the OSC-ROOT Partnership we were able to take that to another level, and post dissolution, we will look to replicate a similar model of our own moving forwards!
We are committed to offering financial support to any players left teamless after the OSC-ROOT Partnership. If they’re interested in continuing with us post dissolution under a new title, we’d love it and openly welcome them, while also beginning the search to find new talent to support and represent our community. We’ve already had players commit, so expect to see team and player announcements over the coming days and weeks!
Our understanding is that ROOT GAMING intend to reinstate their SC2 division. We’re sure confirmations of players will be announced on their end in the near future. They are a great group of people, and we wish them every success 🙂 #ROOT4ROOT
We thank all partners, players, fans and other parties who helped make OSC-ROOT the great team it established itself as from July 2016-17 (Currently ranked 1st in OSC Team Championship, and came 1st in Dust League season 4, amongst countless other individual player victories!)

Wait a second, ROOT disbanded or the partnership did? Because this states both of those things

They are dissolving their joint identity and ROOT is returning to their original branding.

Good that there is no drama. 😊 #root4root

Further details:
After a year of a fruitful mutually beneficial partnership, OSC will no longer be the Title Sponsor for ROOT Gaming (SC2) starting today.
Reasons for the partnership's end include differences in vision and objectives for the Team and management / rights moving forward. Upon being offered new terms for a renewal, we decided that it'll be in ROOT's best interest to continue alone, vacating the position of Title Sponsor until we find a suitable replacement.
We are happy and grateful for our time with OSC and the players who came alongside it through the partnership, to them, who operated directly under OSC's budget, it is also time to say good bye.
Throughout the partnership these players became an integral part of our team and family, and we wish them nothing but the best moving forward in their standing relationship with OSC.
To DemiLove, Probe, iaguz, PandaBearMe and Cham, best of luck and much love, it's been a pleasure to fight alongside you.
ROOT Gaming's (SC2) roster, bound by their standing agreements with us which we plan to uphold as well as their own will to remain and move forward with us remains:
-herO -Kelazhur -Semper -Jig -puCK -Neuro -SolO -RotterdaM -ViBE -ZergGirl -Wardi
Lawrence "Law" Ho, who came alongside OSC has also been invited to and accepted to stay, he will continue to act in the capacity of COO and Player Manager. The same can be said for Juno, who will remain in the team in the capacity of coach and assist with player management.
This to us (ROOT Gaming) is both an end and a beginning both, and while we are sad to say good bye, we are excited for the future moving forward with new directions and goals, needless to say, we have no plans to stop supporting the StarCraft 2 Scene.
Thank you everyone for your continued support and always, #ROOT4ROOT!

Hmm
-herO -Kelazhur -Semper -puCK -RotterdaM -ViBE -Wardi
All seem to be doing well professionally speaking while
-ZergGirl -Neuro
Seem to do ok stream wise.
-Jig -SolO
Are probably the only team members I've never heard of but I'm not really a hardcore fan. Either way, your statement is demonstrate ably false.

Hell, even just looking at past members - Major and Masa clearly didn't have their careers end after being a part of ROOT.

Last time I watched Sc2 back in 2011/2012 I always found root to be a tier below everyone else and less serious, is that the case, still?

GL Root! GL OSC! Thx Catz!

Cheers to OSC for everything, I hope you come back to Starcraft some day and in some form. Shout out to ROOT, the stalwarts of SC2.

Considering a lot of that was Korean teams, TL, and EG, where the Korean teams are dissolved, TL is where it always has been, EG is out of SC2, ROOT definitely has a lot to offer.
Best of luck to them!
