After having been denied the throne in the last edition of Nation Wars by France, Korea finally claimed first place this Saturday in the Grand Final of Nation Wars IV in Paris. The team of (T)INnoVation, (P)Zest and (P)sOs—the original team members (T)ByuN and (T)Maru canceled their participation to focus on GSL instead—beat Germany and Poland on their way to the championship.

The Germans started out well, but after (P)ShoWTimE's initial victory over sOs, INnoVation choked out any more resistance, bringing Korea into the final series with an all kill. There, a dangerous Polish trio waited for them after having beaten Canada 4-2 in their own semifinal. One man in particular was ready to take on the Korean giants.

(Z)Nerchio held his nation in the series for a long time, beating the entire Korean squad—Zest two times even—, but ultimately he stood alone, as his team mates couldn't do anything to support his efforts: INnoVation finally ended the Zerg players' rampage and lead Korea to the title after an amazing Grand Final.

KOREA, KESPAAA

I mean no surprise here, the games were kinda close because Nerchio is really good. At the same time korea didn't bring their actual best players though
Great event, hopefully there will be more of it in the future! In general tournaments which push the nationality button could be a thing in general, i think that would work quite well if done properly (proleague style or something)

´gratz' to sOs for winning the "Nation Wars Stephano award" this year :D.
Good fight from Nerchio but the less ace-centric team won in the end.
INno on the other hand... he manages to lose stupidly in spite of being thought of as an invincible force... but then he carries his team to the victory anyways so we forgive him.

Did you see that sheepish smile he had after Nerchio cheesed him? He went back to Zest and sOs and was like "I dun goofed, friends."

But then he came in clutch and carried Korea across the finish line so he got the double thumbs-up and high-fives anyways.

On another note, I really loved how they kept showing Zest/sOs flipping between super worried and celebrating as Inno bounced between losing and winning.

Spoilers suck, anyone that pretends differently is being disingenuous. If you don't agree with me please let me know the next tournament you are interested in. Wait to watch it and let me tell you all of the results before you do. Then talk to me honestly about your enjoyment level.

Look I get it people are trolling, it is obvious to anyone with any passion about what they are watching that suspense matters. Pretending otherwise is dishonest and I do not understand the motivation for doing so but please stop.

Korea may won the tournament, but for me the real winner of that match was Godchio. He played so fuckin' well, singlehandedly killing the whole Korean team. Just wow. Big props to Artur, he's the man! Also I told ya that Inno will secure the win, that guy is incredible.

I take it back, I figured it out, People that have the time to watch events live sometimes feel that they are somehow superior for prioritizing that event above all else. Either that or they have nothing better going on in their lives and need validation from whatever source they can find even if it is completely invalid. look if you have the time great but if you start basing your self worth or others on the sole basis of where esports ranks in their priorities you are living life in the wrong way. #StopBeingSoPretenious

Upon realizing it wasn't tagged as a spoiler, I immediately did tag it and it no longer appears if you have the spoiler option activated. So I assume you don't even use the spoiler function or else you'd notice. But hey, can't be distracted from your tirades by the matter you're complaining about.

@Argonauta it was crazy. That game, especially, showed how cool it was to have teammates' faces popping up on screen. Zest and sOs got super afraid in that push. The whole series was great, but that game was crazy, and super well played from both sides, the whole time.

Did it occur to you that I do have the spoiler feature active, that I wasn't affected this time but was simply calling people out for ridiculing someone who rightfully was annoyed at having the match spoiled?

Are there any VODs yet? Can't find them on sc2links yet, and would rather watch them from the start than just picking up a rebroadcast in the middle of the match.

For me it still appears even though I have the Hide spoilers ticked. Tried unticking and ticking again, didn't change anything.

Because threads are only tagged as spoilers for 24 hours. After that they appear like regular ones.

Let me summarize you:

False statement, False statement, Selfish statement.

I now understand that if there is an issue that doesn't directly affect you, you don't care. Good luck with your relationships in life carrying on like that.

The majority of people are not innately selfish thank fully. When I come across a member of that typically vocal minority it always surprises me how up front they are about it:

Hi, look at me, I don't care about anyone but me *wave*.

I don't understand why there is no realization that this is not a good way to live.
