In a video blog iNcontroL has announced that starting 2017 he will no longer be under the EG brand. He also opened up about the future direction of the team explaining that the team is moving away from supporting 'talent' and back to its roots of supporting esports teams. He also confirmed that EG have moved away from SC2 citing that it no longer makes sense for the company to support the game. iNcontroL stressed that decision to part ways was mutual and is the best for both parties.
While not set in stone, he did discuss a number of his future plans. He has signed with the representation agency CSA in hopes of gaining future opportunities (other members of CSA include Seltzer, Smix, and Anna). He also plans to be a full time streamer in 2017 with most of his channels content being SC2 related. Other projects include a "weekly studio produced" show starting in January; likely to be co-hosted with DJWheat on the topic of comics, pop culture, video games and so on. He is also likely to continue to be involved with Role Play hosted by JP and commentate SHOUTcraft Kings in 2017.
This is one of those few things where I'm more optimistic than sad. EG has been winding out of SC2 for a long time now, it isn't a surprise, but it will be cool to see where incontrol goes from here. He's a great caster and community figure so I think he will do well.
Best of luck in the years to come, Geoff. Very excited about the prospect of new podcasts-- I still get the urge now and then to go back and listen to vintage SOTG episodes. One of the best things about this community is how we (fans) can relate to the content creators as old friends, even though we've never met.
Wow Incontrol pulling the old "I am going to stay in the starcraft scene" when he is turning his back on us. I hope you die eaten by a shark, after you just escape of your car you drove into the ocean because you got your eye burn by trying to watch an eclipse while driving.

Nope. iNcontrol was the last one. It's sad to see one of the last remaining big organizations fade out of StarCraft, especially considering how much history EG has had with the game. It was a great ride with them.

I think the era passed when Alex Garfield left... as for your question, does Suppy count? Him and HuK are the only active EG members left from what I can tell anyway, but that's probably only until the end of the year.

I have never heard of or seen a Halo tournament gaining any large attention in the past few years yet EG has a Halo team and not SC2... Doesn't make any sense to me yet here we are and I agree it's super sad to see
