I am just afraid, that Dennis started this with great passion and plan to create an unofficial global event and this change of timing of Proleague practically destroyed his intentions ... I only hope, he will manage to create some good participation anyway ... even when if not, everybody will understand it after the Proleague change ... primarily when SKT is playing Jin Air during that weekend ...

I think only some of the bigger teams who can spare a player would send someone regardless of the schedule change.

Yes ... let us hope ... e.g. if Trap / Cure could come if one of them was not nominated for the match vs SKT would be great, the same eventually with Inno / Dream / etc. ... :-)

I am still dreaming about a few great, but not TOP class players, who would normally hardly find a spot in Proleague on that weekend, like Cure, Trap, Inno and similar ones ... I remember that always when this kind of players went to a tournament abroad and were successful in it, they came back and their team profited from their new seld confidence.

I don't think it's impossible for PL players to come if they want to. Its probably ultimately left up to the coaches whether they can go. Samsung has tended to be more lenient in the past in terms of letting players travel, but some teams would want their entire team at home even if the player isn't in the lineup, for practice reasons or whatever. To me hsc has always been about the fun and banter. A place for everyone to have a good time. My favourite memories of hsc are not the games but the casting.

NarutO does not like the current region lock and I am sure he is working hard to get some of the best players out to Krefeld. It's just not that easy to get them to come with GSL/SSL and Proleague going and HSC can't offer WCS points. Still, I am sure there will be some Koreans among the players that have yet to be announced. Edit: Also I think TRUE still counts as Korean, kinda overlooked him too though .On June 08 2016 14:53 Kaizor wrote: If people think watching hsc is about having the best quality games, they are having the wrong idea. It's still nice to see some of the best games on the last day and a great final like Flash vs Parting will always be a highlight.

Maybe some Afreeca/Samsung/MVP guys like Keen, Journey, Billowy that are not used as much in PL(Keen not even on PL roster). Parting is also a possibility. SKT could let go someone like Impact or Zoun but no soO, Inno etc.

But after Dennis announced, he does not follow the WCS rules, everybody has expected this year's HSC to be the best tournament of the year, the first real unofficial Global Event ... But with the Proleague timing change, it might not be the case anymore ... so we all somehow hope, he will still manage to do it. Even just having KeeN and ByuN would be great!!! Sad that MC will miss it as a showmaker, but we are all happy to have him in SPL. Let's hope, Dennis surprises us with some big fish!

The only reason last HSC had no Kespa koreans was because of SpoTV sheduling the SSL Qualifiers on the same date as the HSC. Following this, Zest, Solar, and some B-Teamers of KT and Samsung canceled their flights. This year it is only one week of ProLeague and KT, SKT and Jin Air are almost save in the final playoffs.

if you want to show your disinterest then just avoid the threads and the organizers will know people are avoiding them from the lack of posts. yelling at them that there are no koreans doesn't do anything. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to put together that higher level players will attract some viewers, but organizers aren't always able to work with higher level players.
