There are a lot of GSL replays missing from this pack, quarter finals, semi finals - possibly due to INnoVation/ByuL being in the final - but there are others missing for Flash and others from the Group Stages as well. (Yes I am terran player). Hopefully these will be made available after GSL finishes this weekend...

Yeah, that's a good point. I think they wanted to get the replay pack out because of the changing replay format

Maybe if they waited any longer, we wouldn't be able to view the replays ever.

Pretty much the exact reason. Wanted to give as much time with the replays as we can so we released prior to final but removed any byul/inno replays in interest of fairness to them.

Guess I can now delete my 1,5 GB replay folder with all replays for sc2 premier tournaments I could find since 2012.

such a tragedy that they are screwing over the community with the lack of backwards-compatible replays, post 3.0 patch. I mean people still play BW, so why wouldn't people want to keep wathcing WoL and HotS replays at the very least? this file format switch seems more geared towards hyping/selling LotV than their stated reasons, even if it means totally screwing a huge part of the already shrinking SC2 community. How hard would it have been to make the new client compatible for both formats? Just like the new CCs can't we get 495768379478/16 workers to try and solve the problem??!?

It's a shame about replays however I think it's better to be happy that blizzard is looking to improve the game experience rather than just not care.

You can still view all the build orders and stuff on SpawningTool, but yeah, no more watching them

If you have a version of the game from before the patch, you can still view replays on it using SC2Switcher, as was explained on another thread.
