Glad to see both sides are holding each other accountable.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

Even though this is satirical, I think that tournaments should be held accountable for late starts and late payouts and players should call out organizations for late payouts.... Put them into the light so the community can shun them too..

Late starts are on of the reasons for TOA (not that every late start is due to a late player).

As a former union steward I do think players would do well to have an association.

This is pretty comedic, but I know from Kane's history that he's at least partially serious about this subject. Some foreign Sc2 players don't seem to understand that this game doesn't generate any real revenue for tournament organizers, and that they are dedicating large amounts of their time to provide entertainment to Starcraft II fans and providing a way for foreign players to make a little bit of money (by providing part of the product). Tournament organizers have very little, no, or negative monetary benefits by putting on tournaments. If BasetradeTV, Lycan, Oli, and others stopped organizing tournaments, foreign players would have no supplemental income. Korean Starcraft II players seem to be more appreciative of the tournaments and online cups put on outside of the WCS system, and are playing on odd schedules to participate without raising any fanfare. I think foreign players should be thankful that someone wants to organize money tournaments for B or lower tier play (save Snute, Bunny, Lilbow), because apart from the aforementioned foreign torcholders, few would have even a modest chance of making it through Code A qualifiers.

It's funny because it's true...

...

I wonder if a player's union could work. It's communist, but we've been Stal'in enough on the issue.

The foreigner jail movement should actually consider doing what this jokes about doing aswell. Or it just seems very onesided.

Hahaha. I like TOA. Sure being a pro these days isn't exactly easy with fewer teams and lower salaries, but it really shouldn't be a problem for anyone as long as you show up for whatever you sign up for. Which you should do anyway.

Hey guys, just thought I'd let you know that ESL is very close to earning a strike tomorrow for late payment to players. They are well on their way to being put on the naughty list! Let's just hope their broadcast starts on time today.

So, if the broadcast is late because a player is late would ESL earn a demerit too?
Probably easiest if tournament broadcast delays be left to the "Fiewers" to punish. :D

I'm just curious, how much time has passed?
If you can't say this directly then :

Is it longer or shorter then 2 months after winning date?
I remember from long ago that we had to wait literally a year+ for our winnings, eventhough it were much much smaller amounts (ESL).
2 months is a fair term for a prize payout.

30 days, according to the WCS handbook players will be paid 30 days after the tournament concludes and after the proper paperwork has been submitted. Proper paperwork has been submitted for many of the players already.

I have decided to be neutral about The Organizer's Alliance Against Absent Athletes and Foreigner's Union for the Courteous Treatment of Unhappy Players.
