Back when I was working for CM Storm, I was the guy who got Revival on board. Since then, my contract expired, I got caught up in a bunch of different casting opportunities abroad and domestically in Taiwan, and I always secretly wondered where things would go with him.
I'm glad to see he is still involved.
|
I hope it will work for him.
Two questions : is he to quit playing and what's up with Legend then ?
|
This is probably a good thing since he's better than Legend at SC2 skill-wise.
|
Good for him! When does he start? (Did he cast today?)
|
Maybe FunKa is finally getting some concurrency for the best observer title d: Great to see him do something, I wondered if he had retired or something ! Good luck to him
|
not retired btw (his previous tweet was about Revivel observing)
|
hope he won't be to hard on his race when observing. But yay i get to see so many revival games then in a way.
|
I hope this works out for him !

now we can say that a Korean observer could beat a foreigner pro

Ah ah. But can we even say that Korean observer are good though ?
|
Sweet! I am sure he will be a gosu Observer :D
|
I'm glad that he got a new job but i don't like a news that someone get a new job at gomexp. Of course getting a job is good, but the problem is, at the same time, we hear a news that someone got laid-off or quitted the company. That means they has a high separation rate of employees. I think gomexp is not going well.
|
we need more observers in the scene. I feel bad for the ones that work alone, observing 10+ games a night.

Legend quit observing, then started observing again, now he is likely just coaching full time

I hope he´s a lot better than the current obs who constantly misses important stuff and has done so for years now. Cant wait. glhf Revival

As far as i know, there were 2 observers gsl had when legend did it. Legend did it for the global one, and the other guy (a old progamer from team Kor,not sure of his english name but his twitter id was heaven dom or something) observed for the korean stream. After a while legend left and the other guy did it for both stream. Then, last season he left and now revival is taking his place.

I thought Legend quit again and JKS was observing? (I could be totally wrong though)

Ah, that makes sense. I just thought revival has been doing it, but they just announced it by now.

Doesn't he work for Spotv games?

any observer who wont show damage taken (wether by always showing healthbars, using "show damaged units healthbars" or always selecting every damaged unit ever(good luck with that)) is an awful observer imo.

I don't think I've ever had a problem with his observing.

Legend was such a fantastic observer to the point where you could watch with the sound off and still feel like you never missed anything and he also never did that stupid camera shaking thing. I'm glad we have someone that can live up to that.
|
Funkas Camerashaking and Mouseshowing of usless things was allways annoying for me.

bring back HotBid observing
jk I like you Revival please don't break my heart again

Good for Revival, hope he doesn't stop playing though

No observer can even be compared to Legend. He was exceptional.

Glad he's still involved. Revival always seemed like a cool guy.

totally agree with this. Revival needs to stay in e-sport.

I always thought Funka was great! Legend is like a computer program though, so consistent and never misses anything.

Legend was pretty clearly out of practice when he did GSL this season. Agreed. I thought Heaven was a rung down from Legend when he took over, but Legend has felt a little rusty this season. Hopefully Revival is at least as good as rusty Legend and in form Heaven :p.
