Not too surprised given his lack of results.

Fucking seriously?

0-6 in Proleague 2014, 1-5 in 2015, never qualified for a GSL/SSL. His results were definitely lacking, yes.

I think he meant it as in it was very disrespectful, even if true.

The announcers (Wolf) dumped all over him at every opportunity. Thought he had some promise if he could ever shake off the nerves.

Oh, that wasn't clear then. Anyway, I hope he manages to be succesful wherever he goes.

Well, he's at an all-time 35.32% winrate (34.62% offline, 35.63% online) against Koreans, so yeah...

It's his fucking retirement thread...........................

? He isn't dead or anything, and his results are probably partially correlated to his decision to retire, thus relevant. Retirement from pro-gaming is probably a great opportunity for him to start a new life and not a funeral event that should censor this kind of things. And come on, we've seen retirement threads with way worse and disrecpectful comments than this.

Come on, saying it's not too surprising is not disrespectful in this case. It doesn't change that it's a sad thing (if you cared about that player).

Just like when you hear that Mvp might be considering retirement, after not seeing a game from him in 8 months, and knowing his health problems, it's not "too surprising", even though it's heartbreaking news...

Well, at least, this is not a consensus that it's disrespectful.

this is what he wrote in his facebook page:

"오늘 프로리그 2라운드를 끝으로 그만두게되었습니다
게임보다 더 하고싶은 일이 생겼네요
좋지못한성적으로 마무리해서 많이 아쉽네요
프로게이머하면서 너무 많은걸 배우고 느낀거 같아요
여태까지 응원해주신 모든 분들께 감사드리고
다른 길로 가는 저를 지켜봐주세요 프라임팀도 많은 응원부탁드려요
I left my job as a progamer after playing two rounds in the pro-league.
I am sad and disappointed because I finished my last game with a score that was not high enough.
I learned a lot of things being a progamer.
I appreciate you guys for supporting me this far.
Please keep watching out for me even though I'm going another way and Please keep supporting Prime team. Thank you so much"

Maybe it can be add to the first post.

Doesn't answer the other part of my post, which stands ; and it wasn't intended at "pushing people even further down the hole" but at analyzing his decision. But well if you feel offended over simple facts, I apologize for hurting your sensibility and for being tasteless and stupid.

Look, I agree with Ragnarok that saying that doesn't warrant calling you tasteless and stupid..... But still, even if it's true, I really don't think you should have said what you said (not being surprised)

At least say it in a different way, for example, "It's a pity he didn't deliver like most expected him to, so I guess this decision might not be too surprising and actually quite beneficial for Terror".
Same meaning, whole different way that other readers will view it
