However, Jin Air would be undefeated just like them if it wasn't for Katowice taking key starters. CJ got lucky that week in that they only had to face Prime, so there was no need for herO heroics.

Which is to say, the lineup JAGW fielded didn't have to lose. And obviously CJ didn't always have to win.

herO for only 7? Yeah, it's true that his performance this round exceeds expectations even for a player of his caliber, but I don't see how it's justifiable that an Ace level player on a successful and competitive team should cost lower than other Ace players on successful teams. How much better than herO do you expect Maru or INnoVation to perform, if you're giving them 2 extra costs? Trap for 3? When you look at the Jin Air roster, I don't see anybody on that team who clearly outclasses him as a 3rd or 4th man. This isn't some random bench player that sees play like once a season. This is some one who's proven himself to be a solid contributor in Proleague. There were two other 3 cost players if I remembered correctly, and they don't even compare to Trap. soO, Stats and Dream were all undervalued at the beginning of this round IMO, but herO and Trap were the two that particularly stood out as the most obvious picks.

Besides: It is expected that a player gains 3-4 times the points of his cost. I don't think it was unreasonable to assume that herO would only gain 21-28 points this round. In fact ByuL, who was priced at 7 points as well, gained more points than herO last round. Trap went 1-1 last round and was competing against Cure (5-2) and Rogue (4-2), two more accomplished players, for the 3rd/4th slot on JAGW. Cure and Rogue both had better stats than their team's two top dogs, sOs and Maru, and played more combined ace matches. With an expected 4-5 team wins and maybe 1 individual win (like last round) it was reasonable to expect him to gain ~8-10 points which would mean a 3 point cost. If anything you could argue that a fair amount of players where overpriced instead (Life and Inno at 9, Bbyong and Dark at 8, etc.). With prizes being mostly based on recent performance it's always hard to anticipate which players will perform well in the upcoming round. herO playing 4-3 or 7-0 makes a huge difference in terms of points or price but it's not unreasonable to predict him playing either way any given day.

Trap was a little too cheap, but he kind of was a random player for Jin Air til his PL and IEM performances. It was just really good timing. But before he joined, nobody could have guessed he'd go on such a tear. He wasn't a solid contributor to Proleague until AFTER this round started homie...

Yeah after the really great first season I am experiencing the typical sophomore slump. Well, I guess it's ok if I finish in the top 5% or top-100 even, which kinda seems like a miracle atm. Edit. Oh yeah and also traded Panic for Leenock. Maybe Panic will win now haha. Edit2. HAHA
