Nice writeup! Even though it was fun watching STY this round and good seeing them have unexpected early success, I don't think they are a viable playoff team as currently construed. Way too dependent on their Z players and a startling lack of depth considering their roster size. Hard to envision them succeeding in the BO7 playoff format where you really need to go 5-6 deep to seriously contend. Would be nice to see them continue to surprise. If somehow partinG is able to rejoin PL soon (ridiculous and dated kespa rules...) then they become a true contender in my eyes.

Jin Air have the best roster in Proleague if everyone brings their A game. Startale are dangerous too though but they NEED Life to get 2+ wins to get it done. I actually think whoever wins today can beat CJ and face SKT in the finals, especially if it's Jinair. I'm sure CJ want Startale to win given herO is a zerg-killing machine and ST lack depth outside of their Z core.

I'm picking Jinair 4-3. Curious > sOs, Rogue > Curious or sOs > Curious, Leenock > sOs to start it off 1-1, but I struggle to see Startale getting the other 3 wins unless Life gets at least 2 of them and given Rogue crushes ZvZ and Cure and Maru both have solid TvZ that's going to be a tough ask even for Life.

I think ST, Jin Air, and CJ are all about even and I can see anything happening.

SKT will kill whoever comes up. Why? The Machine isn't confined to 1-2 matches. Though CJ has herO, who I think is the only player in SPL that I'd favor over Bogus.

I feel vindicated that KT performed so poorly this round, after so many people hyping them as favourite before the beginning of the round despite their poor recent performance prior to that. The real surprise for me was how well Startale performed.

As for the first match of the playoffs, I have to favour Jin Air in an all-kill format.
