This is how I think it should be, otherwise it'd be best to just pick players you don't think will ever get played (since it'd be essentially impossible for a player on your anti to benefit you). So, players like Taeja and Stork are the best, since it's less likely they will be fielded than other players, minimizing the points for being played? If I am thinking about it correctly, there is redundancy in the score system. There is no point in having the +1 for appearance or +1 for ace appearance when you could just make the points for wins/losses higher/lower. So, instead of getting 2 points for a win, you get 3 points for a win. Instead of -1 point for a loss, you get 0 points for a loss. Same for ace match -- instead of 3 for a win, it's 4 for a win; instead of -2 for a loss, it's -1... OP / TeamLiquid / Whoever should change that because it just makes it more confusing. But you can also earn points for people showing up/ getting fielded even if they don't get to actually play their match because the team wins 3-0 or something. | ||

Yep, that's what I thought. So what is it? General "hype" and "popularity"? Doesn't make much sense, but I'll play by the rules :D. Skillwise it's clear to me that Flash is not a 9 at least... | ||

Thank goodness I don't put "because mostly math" in my research papers. No but seriously, any details? At least the criteria? I don't really care how they're combined. ELO/Aligulac? Past Proleague results? Recent winrates? Recent top finishes? Because it really seems to me that it's "People like MarineKing, let's put him at 7, and people REALLY like Flash, so let's put him at 9". | ||
