It is always sad to see a member of the Fnatic family leave and it is no different with Viktor 'Miniraser' Malmberg. The young Swedish Zerg joined us in March 2013 and has been a pleasure to work with. It has been fun to watch as he battled through plenty of tournaments and made a name for himself in the international StarCraft 2 scene.
Viktor was a very solid player for us, especially in events like TeamStory Cup, where he secured some convincing wins for Fnatic. His most impressive showing was in Season 3 of the European WCS, he made it to the Round of 16 taking down some big names along the way.
It has been an exciting journey for both of us and we would like to thank Viktor for all the hard work and fun that we have shared with him since he joined. We wish him all the best for the future and hope he continues to improve and develop in his StarCraft 2 career!
Viktor 'Miniraser' Malmberg Hello everybody, today I am leaving Fnatic. It was a nice run, but at some point it had to end. I made lots of nice friends and we will stay together even though they are no longer my Teammates. A final thank you to Fnatic and farewell. I won't be retiring, so you will hear from me soon boys!
Lukas Breitweiser, Starcraft 2 Manager Today we are sad to announce that Miniraser will be departing Fnatic. Since joining he has been a great friend to every one in the Fnatic organisation. That won't change now that he's leaving. We wish him the best for the future and we can't wait to see him continue on in his StarCraft 2 career!

I fucking love that celebration! #passion

Fnatic will shut down it seems.
|
Huh, that's unfortunate. I hope he finds a new team, he has a lot of potential I think.
|
Only the sc2 and dota 2 i think will go out
|
It does seem like Fnatic is slowly but surely retreating from SC2

their league team has a lot of internal drama as well, with their star player very publicly turning against them and saying how he wants out, his teammates suck and nobody takes the game seriously
he had allegedly a buyout sum on his contract of 150k and allegedly is attending a tournament (IEM Sao Paolo) with another team, so if all that is true fnc SHOULD have the money to do whatever the fuck they want right now

Best of luck to Miniraser and whatever team he joins in the future! Never really followed this guy until recently when I heard him cast at HSC X, super funny guy, really brought a lot of life to whatever casting team he was part of

I don't think he said that.

Yeah especially considering 8 players have left this year they haven't signed anyone and now just have Harstem on their roster.

Interesting. He has so much potential, don't see why they would let him go. First Neeb, and now Miniraser.
Fnatic SC2 disintegrating...? GL to Miniraser in the future. Hopefully someone will pick him up.

I hope Miniraser can now pursue his dream of becoming an EPS champion

He basically said it. But ye, it seems that Fnatic are just lacking funds to keep their historied League roster alive + soon-to-be historied pronax and crew.
Miniraiser can't have troubles with getting team, right, lol? Like, top-3 foreign Zerg isn't something you should ignore with new WCS rules. Top-5, boys and girls, okay, don't fire me.

Called it. Sad to see Fnatic leaving the scene though. After Empire, it's another very important EU team to retreat from SC2. Hopefully we will see new (legit) teams rise to replace them, along with Cascade for example.

Top 3 foreigner Zerg? I like Miniraiser, but isn't that a bit of a stretch? I mean just take Snute, Scarlett, Sen and VortiX and you already have an easily established top 4 which doesn't include him

I like miniraser and I think he'll hit it big, but top 3 foreigner zerg? Right now? No way.

I hope so!

I'm guessing he's looking for a team that will let him play in the EPS.
