Ouch that hurts. 3 top players out of DH Winter isn't great.
|
Ugh... there goes my interest for the event.

WTF. ... they could be easly the top3 of the event.

The fewer koreans the better

Both herO and sOO are out of Hot6 cup.. Why are they withdrawing? Are there more tournaments in Korea that I don't know of?

As far as last second replacements go polt/bunny/patience aren't that bad. A massive step down from the kespa trio though.

Yeah i wonder what these "scheduling conflicts" are in this case, doesn't make much sense right now?

They probably have to stay in Seoul to receive end of the year awards given by gom. That's my guess

I wonder why they withdrawed though? INno for hot6ix maybe but herO and soO? Seems sad they aint going after qualifying for this, I was super excited for this DH and now while still good kinda deflated for me.

soOs form was so weak in the last weaks. I think it is better for all to replace him, he will need a bootcamp with psychological support.
INno and herO not attending is sad, but hey, Polt and Patience can speak englisch at least. And dont get proxygated. And dont forget to repair important bunkers.. And with Bunny the foreign hope is 100% bigger!.
Not sooo bad news.

The number of foreigners suddenly increased by 100%. I have a hard time to understand these withdraws though (besides INno). Maybe their coaches wanted them at home to practice but preventing them to go to a 75k$ tournament seems... harsh.

After watching yesterday's Hot6 games, I can't help but feel that soO actually made the decision to bow out. Regardless of whether Shellshock is right and that "top 2 at GSL top 16 everwhere else" is a real thing for soO, to soO's brain a ro16 finish must still feel like a 16th place finish - ie, awful.
I hope he can get his mind right on SKT. Failing that, there's always MVP.

I would like to clarify the reason why herO, soO, and Innovation are withdrawing from DH Winter. The fatigue of travel has finally caught up to them and they would like some time to rest and recuperate. This decision in no part was made by KeSPA or the teams, but solely by the players.
Also, I would like to point out that Solar is still attending DH Winter and wish him the best of luck.

hahahahaha
Nuclear bishop sounds like the plot in "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" (1970)

hero is basically the only person I watch these days with how busy I am. Guess I'll just do my best to check out the final results of this one....

ouch, that sucks. GET BETTER SOON, TASTELESS!!!

After re watching Boardwalk Empire, I'd have to question who is TRULY responsible for these unfortunate happenings..

Funny to see that I got pretty much the same thing in my language :D Anyway, thanks for the translation, lichter Could someone translate it more precisely? Just curious how it sounds.
Also, CJ Entus tweeted about it as well:

I think I mostly get why they picked who they did as replacements. Bunny replaces Innovation, as he was a Top 8 finisher in the Dreamhack Innovation qualified in, while the rest of the Top 8 finishers already had a spot. herO and soO both qualified from Dreamhack Stockholm, so they gave one spot to Patience, the remaining non-qualified competitor in that Top 8, and Polt, the Top 16 knockout who...was the most Polt? I dunno exactly on that one.

They should invite Flash

People that only watch the highest quality of a sport are generally not that big of a fan of said sport.
Okay. Im just going to leave you hanging with that comment. Also, some people think green doors are not as pretty as blue doors, there we go, now our commenting relevance is equal.

Yes, because that what most sports fan do. Support for the "highest quality" team, rather than their favorite one. Get off your high horse.

This indicates how much some people underestimate the achievement of players like Taeja and Life who travel all over the world constantly and keep winning tournaments while glorifying KeSPA players who only need to focus on their next match. Skill isn't everything. Like with any sport you also need endurance and the right mindset. Look at how Innovation's year abroad went.

I agree, Jaedong worked harder than anybody else to get to BlizzCon by traveling all year and people gave him shit for it.

so they saw that Life was also in it and gave up on it in an instant. I am not a fan of "I only play if I feel like it" types, on the other hand they wouldn't have played good to begin with if they went in with a bad attitude, so I guess doing a Naniwa once in a while is fine.

Tasteless' legs are Sasquatch quality

Sucks that fatigue is catching up with players so much. I don't travel enough to know how bad it can get but these guys are commentators and if they can't do it I guess it's really bad. Glad to hear that herO has started his spiritual journey with a nuclear bishop, will be interesting to see how that helps him

Will expect Flash to travel less from now on too.

Say it once more, with feeling

This is just super sad. I understand that they don't wanna travel anymore, but it would have been the sickest tournament with those three.
Now the tournament is more like, does Life or Solar have the best ZvZ.
