Hmm decent group for Snute I guess? He can definitely beat Scarlett and Rain, now depending on who is the TBD player he has either a great or a decent chance to advance.

So, I wonder, are these random or are they selected in some way?

Rain should probably send a thank you card to ESL for picking the wildcard players that they did.

Huh, still, I wonder if there's some level of picking here. These groups are a little... too balanced

They seem fine to me tbh. But maybe messioso or someone from ESL is going to peek here and tell us how it has been drawn, I think they do that sometimes

Ya, too early to make any real predictions since whoever comes out of the open brackets can completely change everything.

Agreed, just defeating one korean in the qualifier doesn't really make him feel on par with Bomber and herO.

I like qxc though, really hopes he does well or at least shows good games =)

Also it's a shame that Vortix can't go and has to replaced by First who will undoubtedly lose unceremoniously as always! Vortix was pretty good at this time last year as well.

All groupstage players will play at least one match in San Jose.

The seeding is really quite obvious, just look which qualifiers the players all came through...

All groupstage players will play at least one match in San Jose.

The seeding is really quite obvious, just look which qualifiers the players all came through...

Ya I noticed that, it's one Asian/EU qualifier, one NA/US qualifier and one wild card per group. We still don't know if they were decided upon or picked randomly, but that part was obviously intentional

I feel like QXC is in every IEM, even though he isn't.

Looking forward to Rain, Polt amd Bomber (Hope Jaedong stops sucking)
To all the haters: you deserve to witness many, many more Serral victories, worthy of the godlike player he is.

They are simply seeding groups, everything else is random.

That's a top 10 I'd like to see.
But he is never making short-term prediction, everyone of his prediction are based on fundenmentals, but he doesn't exactly know when it will happen... So using these kind of narrowed "who-is-right" empirical analysis makes little sense.

Rain has a decent group, that's pretty much all I care about. Though it is kinda sad that he has to play Scarlett first, cuz I really like her too.

Nah this wasn't random.

I'm sick of every tournament trying to force Polt vs Jaedong.

Maybe I want to see them match up later in the tournament rather than playing in every group stage.

Ah, good point. I was surprised not seeing him among the invitees after asking Nathanias what maps the qualifiers were played on and not showing up later.

Interesting to see the Invasion players. Imo it'll be Violet/hydra from bracket 1 and TRUE/Revival from bracket 2

As long herO and Rain will advance, I will be happy. The hardest group is D and weakest is probably C, IMO.
Dream, Dark, herO, PartinG, RorO, Bbyong, Rain, soO, PtitDrogo <3. Goodbye RorO, MC you were awesome! You will be remembered!
