I would suggest maybe having two tiers of players, assuming the participation numbers are there.
If the idea is to get low-league players to play more, allowing any league to enter may have the opposite effect over time.
Nobody wants to watch or play a Silver vs GM game, even if it's the first round. Not sure how to make it even, as I'm sure Diamond v Silver wouldn't be much better, but something to talk about.
I remember competing in the NAASL or whatever (north american amateur star league iirc) and it was a ton of fun so I hope this tournament works out and I will play in it every month.

Actually, I had 8 games in a row that were TvZs exactly like our game on Nimbus (which is why I made a great wall of china at home). The 9th game was also a TvZ but I didn't scout and he proxy swarm hosted at my gold base so I lost

Totally up for it, sounds awesome. TL + Competitive SC2 is awesome. For detecting smurfs I guess ask for previous ladder finishes?
Please don't put Masters and Diamond together though, if at all possible. The skill difference is too big right now. Masters got a LOT better and is a LOT harder to achieve.

What kind of platinum league are you in?! I build blind spores in ZvT when I can't get a scout but that's for banshees, not BCs!

Unless you build 3+ spores and mass ling/bane, spores aren't that effective

- scheduling matches (since people have real lives)
- ensuring people play their matches on time
- proper and accurate reporting
- avoiding byes and forfeits
